We booked this hotel through hotwire for $85 night which we thought was a great value. The hotel is clean and the rooms have a modern feel. We had wanted a king room, but instead they put us in a double queen which they said is all they had. The location is an easy drive to the aquarium, wharf, and cannery row. It's also very convenient to the highway that leads to Carmel and Big Sur. For our first breakfast we walked across the street to a wonderful French bakery. The pastries were authentic and delicious. Our second morning we walked a bit further to the Cafe Monterey for breakfast. It was a nice hearty breakfast. Keep in mind that there is also a Trader Joes very close by in case you need any grocery provisions. We picked up some picnic items for a picnic in Big Sur that was perfect.
