The drive to Monterey was beautiful; it was nice to see the scenery.

The Warf was very busy, there were other tourists everywhere, all of the stores were cram packed. This was a great spot to get some unique souvenirs for friends. There are lots of little shops and restaurants along the Warf.

You can see and hear the sea lions, it’s a great experience.

There is a really nice and paved walking trail along the shore, if we had more time it would have been great to walk a bit and see where it went.

Yes it is touristy, but we still walk down the wharf just for fun. We always take our visitors there. We love to try all the clam chowder samples as you walk down, The little coffee/ice cream/crepes shop right at the entry is one of our frequent stops. The whale tours are usually worth it and most of the resturants are Ok.

Wasn't that taken with this area except for the views from the upper deck at the end of the wharf. While we didn't eat in this area, having just finished a large breakfast at our B&B, on a warm sunny day would be a pleasant place to relax and enjoy a meal. Retail shops had all the usual things for tourists but did not impress.

They have numerous places to eat on the wharf. The various restaurants offer you free samples of clam chowder to attract you to come in. Outside of places to eat, there is no much there that is why one afternoon should suffice.

Visited here in July and loved the whole vibe of the place, not as busy as San Francisco so it was a joy to wander round and take in the sights, lots of fabulous boats to see and the great little tourist stores on the wharf were fantastic. Souvenir shoppers will love it.
