“Unique boutique hotel”

What a gem! This is where you want to stay for personal attention with a European feel. The rooms are uniquely decorated and the bathrooms appointed with delux shower features. The owners are charming and go out of their way to please. We expected your typical continental breakfasts. Not so! We were treated to something completely different and gourmet each day, like Greek yogurt with honey and walnuts, or eggs and sausage with a foreign (Spanish?) flare. So you are not disappointed, the rooms are very small and do not provide a living/daytime hang out space. But the lobby and roof deck are great for that.

Room Tip: The halls can be a little noisy with other guests slamming doors. May want to request a room at the...

It was my husband's 80th birthday get-away for a few days. We've traveled extensively over the years for both business and pleasure and were so tired of "cookie-cutter" concrete hotels with identical rooms hermetically sealed and plastic smiles (if there are smiles) on the faces of the front desk people we could scream. And microwaved "free breakfasts - YUK !!" Hotel 1110 was such a wonderful experience for us!! Like others, the outside and location on a very busy street had us wondering as we approached "OMGoodness, did we make a big mistake???". Once we opened the door and stepped "through the looking glass" we thought we had been transported to the Left Bank. Whimsical and charming and just plain fun to explore!! We "ooo'd" and "ahhh'd" as we walked the hallway with the painted furnishings floating on the wall...marveled at the stunning red chandeliers in the dining area, touched the draperies and linens (so fine!) and loved every moment of our too-brief two night stay. Breakfast was SENSATIONAL and unique both mornings. The owner Nick and his sister Nashua went overboard for my husband's 80th Birthday dinner by inviting us to a full Lebanese feast .... their treat at the hotel! Nick cooked all day and set the community table beautifully and we sat and ate and talked for hours. This is a HOTEL? My goodness, we felt like family when we left to hugs and promises to return. If you love things unique and warm and personal, you will love Hotel 1110. (Yes, there is plenty of street noise and yet, even with the windows wide open, I slept like a baby both nights.) Rooms are small - as in Europe - yes, but hey, this is MONTEREY...go outdoors and play! The bed was so comfy; the bath so perfect with the Jacuzzi tub and shower from every which way so fun. Thank you, Nick and Nashua (and Maria!) for a most memorable stay. We will return.

Room Tip: Room 303 has a huge king bed - which takes up the entire room but also provides a most wonderful nig...

Girls weekend in Monterey this past weekend and stayed at Hotel 1110 on Del Monte. What a treat! The location is great, the owners are wonderful. You feel right at home and the owners are so accomodating. They made reservations for us at one ot the local restaurants and surprised us with a complimentary dessert. The breakfasts each morning are to die for. Happy hour each evening. The rooms were very clean and the bathrooms have tub/shower. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend. Don't miss this gem, the owners go above and beyond to make your stay a wonderful experience.

Rarely does a hotel provide such value for money. This experience was easily worh double the price.
Rooms are clean, modern and luxurious! Especially loved the bathroom with romantic jet tub.
We felt like we were back in Italy! Hospitality was above and beyond, happy hour, champagne with breakfast, fantastic coffee and savory breakfast.
We will be back!!

What a JOKE!!! Due to a late arriving flight into San Jose, I called to confirm a late arrival. No one answered the phone. Left voicemail. No one returned the message. When I arrived in Monterey, I went to the hotel and at almost midnight there was no one in the lobby. There was a sign on the wall Dial 3204 for help, which I did using the desk phone nearby. No one answered the phone. Left voicemail. No one returned the message. I can't wait to see if they've tried to charge me for the room. I was relieved to find the Monterey Bay Lodge just down the block. The night manager quickly booked me into a good room at a decent rate. And you can get breakfast there, too.

This in not your average B&B. You do not need ac in Monterey since the average temperature is 65 degrees years round! Where is the duvet, please? Why, it is at the foot of the bed. The linens are 500 thread Italian and the towels are turkish cotton. All baths are marble and the floors are heated. The decor is European turn of the century beaux arts. The service is great. Happy hour is local vintners and fresh daily prepared appetizers. You could be on the Left Bank! I love this hotel! Breakfast is included in the rate just like any European small hotel that caters to a special clientele and is fresh prepared daily with fresh bakery bread and 2 courses served. Location is central with Fishermans' Wharf 4 blocks away and many attractive dining venues within walking distance. If you want Holiday Inn, stay there. If you want European style and service, stay here every time! Yes, the front door is locked at 10:00 pm but guests have a key or call and they management will open the door...just like Europe.

Room Tip: Every room is different. First floor rooms may have showers rather than tubs. But all tubs are jet...

This hotel room had no air conditioning, no windows. it was HOT, so tiny that you would hit your head on the wall mounted TV walking around the bed. The washroom taps were coming off the sink. The toilet paper was not mounted (broken). This building was a hostel and condemned by the city. The owners covered up a lot of details to camouflage the building's shortcomings and are renting it travelers without refund. So if you book 2 days you have to eat the cost. The rooms were very noisy and the mattress was very lumpy. The owners advertise a champagne breakfast. I would rather have a comfortable room and go out for breakfast. The carpets were dirty and the doors made a lot of noise.
