This aquarium is amazing. The new otter area is so fun to watch. If you live anywhere near here, it's worth it to get the season passes. 75 a person and 50 for students. Helps support the aquarium and you can go whenever you want.

Our family had an amazing experience at this aquarium. Purchase your tickets online in advance to walk right in. A busy place, but with so many extraordinary exhibits you can make your way around relatively easily to see everything. Plan on spending the entire day here. Our son did the scuba/snorkel activity in the large ocean tide pool and it was incredible. An unforgettable experience. Probably my favorite attraction in California. Educational, and Monterey is fabulous with very interesting history.

I was prepared not to be impressed, having been to the Shedd in Chicago and the Boston aquarium. Wow was I wrong. Could have watched the 3 otters all day--playful and adorable. The seahorses were amazing, unlike any I've ever seen, and the jellyfish too. Also an exhibit with fish swimming all the same direction--sounds stupid but it's mesmerizing. Definitely worth your time. Good for kids, but if you want to avoid the crowds, try to go right when they open.

Go early!! Parking isn't available right at aquarium but a few blocks away so make sure you have time to walk. The earlier the better. We went right when it opened but by noon very crowded. It's so crowded now they are not letting people in until more leave. You have to do the open water feeding if nothing else. Best ever experience!

This is a nice aquarium. Lots of marine life. The aquarium is very well laid out. They have a nice kids area for the little ones to play and a small area for them to play in water. They have nice shows and beautiful views, indoors and outdoor ocean view!!! They could use a better fish pettng area.you could use a good two hours at this attraction. This is my number two aquarium after the Georgia aquarium.
