Owner description: Located at the ocean's edge, the Monterey Bay Aquarium is a window to marine life -- for dive masters and non-swimmers alike. It's home to sea otters, penguins, sharks, jellies and thousands of other marine animals and plants. Its mission is to inspire conservation of the oceans.

We spent over half a day in the Aquarium, and could have spent more! The exhibits were wonderful, and the staff was very helpful. I wish the family rate for admission was a bit less, but it was worth every penny we spent

I trot the globe in search of good food, and animal life. I have been to many continents and oceana, having never missed an aquarium. This is the best, folks, there is NO comparison. A long standing home to hundreds of thousands of plant and animal species, Montery has few contenders. If you are human in any way, then the sea otter exhibit will touch your soul. Defiitely go to the platform during a feeding and get a good view early (feeding times posted in the brochure). They also have a huge 3 story aquarium with tons of animals and a kelp forest. There is food, but you're on Cannary Row! Get out there and try any given restaurant, they're all good! There's a great sushi bar with plastic sea otters floating in a moat that bring you sushi about 2 minutes walk from the entrance.

My husband and I were so enamoured by the jelly fish and seahorse/sea dragon exhibit. It was really cool to touch the starfish and sea cucumbers even as adults!! I totally can see how this may be one of the best in the world!

This is the most amazing aquarium! The oh-so-huge Open Seas room is mesmerizing. That, combined with the Jellies Experience (jelly fish) and the Secret Lives of Seahorses, is worth the price of admission. Don't miss out!
