This was our first experience at a Black Bear Diner. It reminded me of a Cracker Barrel and Applebees mixed together. The menu was extensive with something for everyone and fairly reasonably priced. The food was average to tasty. ( We had prime rib) The food presentation was good. The main entree portion was huge, but the sides were average. A young man named Benjamin waited on our table. He was well above average as a waiter, making recommendations that he knew would please us and honest and positive help in deciphering this menu. I don't usually comment on the servers but he was so extraordinarily above average. which is unusual for a family restaurant. We eat out in excess of twenty meals a month with travel and business. Big Bear was a hit.
