“Lighthouse itself was closed for renovation”
Reviewed November 1, 2011

This is a beautiful place. Our timing was off, we could only walk around the lighthouse due to the renovation. There is a Hostel next to the lighthouse which looked nice, not our thing, but something to think about. If you are headed down HWY1 it's worth a quick stop.

“Amazing location”
Reviewed January 11, 2011

Visited in Winter, however amazing location at the lighthouse. Rooms a little uncomfortable.

Try the Moss Beach Distillary down the road

“Basic Lodging but unbeatable location”
Reviewed October 3, 2004

We stayed Aug 5th 2004. I rate this high because of the property. Hostels are not for everyone. This is not like a hotel. Our stay included/Comments: Private room, Q/Twin bunk w/ adjacent shared bathroom, laundry, shared kitchen with utensils, very basic lodgings (may want to call hostel to find out hostelling rules and guidelines to see if it is for you), remarkable property right on the coast, great sunset, was a bit difficult keeping my kids quite in the morning as there is not much for them to do (no TV) but you could take a laptop with DVD’s. If you don’t mind the sparseness of the facilities and you can keep the kiddies quite this is a memorable experience. Staff was nice. Need to make reservations in advance during high season.
