Enjoyed our dinner here. Stayed overnight in this small town and after a day in the car was nice to just across the street to eat. The pizza was very good, other friendly visitors to chat with, and friendly service. Nice small town atmosphere.

Just stopped in for coffee, which turned out to be bottomless. Yes!
No muffins or pastries on the menu, though.

We stopped late our first night in town and got a pizza and salad to go. Delicious! Our last day in town we stopped in for breakfast and were impressed with the tasty & large portions. Something for everyone. Ingredients were fresh and well prepared. We did have a pre-teen girl with us and even she was happy with their fare. It's more bar than restaurant at night but we were comfortable going in and watching a little soccer on the tele while we waited for our pizza. It's conveniently located across from Miranda Gardens Cottages & Korbly's (our favorite souvenir shop from our week trip through the redwoods of Northern CA). We had a lot of disappointing meals in the area so we were even more happy that usual to find Avenue Cafe. Staff was friendly and mellow - perfect amount of attention/leaving us to talk and eat.

Staying at Miranda Gardens Resort for one night, this was the only place to eat without having to get into the car, which I didn't want to do after driving all day... The place looks very ordinary so I wasn't expecting much but I really liked this place. My son and I each ordered the hamburger made with locally produced, grass fed beef and they were delicious! The side of fries was generous, crispy, light and tasty - better than McDonalds fries! And they also have a good selection of Humboldt County beers to try!

The waitress was super nice and friendly and we sat at the counter and watched the cook make pizzas and calzones - made with fresh dough and, although we didn't try them, they looked pretty good.

So, if you're staying in Miranda, there's no need to drive to Garberville to get a good meal. Try the Avenue Cafe!

We had both dinner and breakfast here, servings were large and value was pretty good!
