We arrived at SFO quite late with no hotel reservations and found most places were full or too expensive. We settled on this place, having stayed at various Best Westerns around the globe, plus the fact it offers free shuttles to the airport and its BART station, ideal as we wanted to visit San Francisco for two days at the end of our holiday.

It's quite close to the airport but it's on a main road with a few fast food restaurants nearby. Our first night we stayed in a suite, which is a block away. It had two bedrooms and a large living room and kitchen. We opted to sleep in the large room but ended up moving to the smaller room facing the inner courtyard as it was quieter. No complaints at all about the facilities on offer in the room and there's free wired internet access.

We changed next morning to a smaller, cheaper room close to the main set of buildings. This one was upstairs at the end of a block; it had a small second bedroom, slightly more away from the corridor, so we slept in there instead.

You can detect a wireless network here but it's not advertised by the hotel although it's definitely provided by them.

There's a complimentary breakfast but it's offered to early leavers between 04:30 and 7:30 only. Otherwise you pay for it at their cafe but it's merely adequate.

It's reasonable value but only if you really can't find anything for a decent price within the center. If you don't mind making the trip to the centre via the airport and the BART, which takes about an hour in total, then it's a viable option.

My husband and I stayed here before heading back to ny and it was perfect. Clean, comfortable and great food at the cafe. The bartender was awesome and had us laughing the whole night. Would definitely recommend!

Ok hotel. Had to change rooms as we needed a bath for our toddler (not just a shower stall). The first room was quite nice, but the second (with bath) was near the tracks, overlooking barbed wire in a shifty looking location, no deadbolt on the door, very cramped. Fine enough but not great. The hotel restaurant was just mediocre - waiter with attitude (?!)

Chose this hotel for the park and fly. We stayed the night before we flew out and our room was very comfortable and spacious. However coming back from the airport was not as convenient. We waited for the shuttle for about 45 minutes when they claimed they would arrive every 20 minutes. The best part was coming back to our car that they had crashed into another car in their "high tech" parking garage. The front bumper and hood were smashed in. They admitted to it but what a hassle trying to get it repaired. What a nice way to end our vacation.

Second time we stayed at this hotel (stay and fly program), but our experience was quite different from the first time. Unlike the first time, this time we were booked at the far end of the hotel. Unfortunately, this end of the property is bordered by the train tracks. The trains would loudly blow their warning whistle at random times during the night and you can hear it passing. Also the beds were old and worn. The hotel is in real need of a renovation inside and out. On our return, the shuttle pickup service was not too good. Many of the other passengers had been complaining that they had called numerous times for a pickup long before we got to the pickup site (we waited for about 15-20 minutes). Based on the condition of the property and the frequency of the shuttle pickups, we will most likely look for an alternate stay and fly hotel around SFO.
