My wife and I stayed at the Westin SFO for one night prior to an early morning flight. I have stayed at many airport hotels and know that they are never as good as whichever brand it may happen to be will offer elsewhere. The same is true for this hotel.

The one saving grace, maybe, is that it is likely to be better than other hotels at SFO.

What we found lacking was primarily the bed. The mattress was not as comfortable as I am used to at Westins and the sheets felt as if they were bought at a discount store.

In other regards it was fine. The lobby is nice, parking expensive and the check-in process was fast, efficient and mainly lacking in warmth or charm.

So, overall, I give it a m’eh rating.

Good location for an early morning flight.

I had a 7:00 a.m. flight out of SFO and decided to stay here. As has been mentioned before, the overnight parking is pricey at $30 for self park and $40 for valet. There is no club lounge, but they do offer a reception from 5-6 p.m.
The room was clean and comfortable although the Westin “heavenly” bed didn’t quite live up to it’s reputation due to rough sheets. I wasn’t bothered by any noise from airplanes or adjacent rooms. I appreciated having 2 separate outlets in the bathroom and I counted four accessible outlets in the bedroom with 2 USB ports on one nightstand. It’s not fancy, but I’d stay here again for an early departure from SFO.

Overrated Airport Hotel

Convenient shuttle and nice welcome, but no Concierge Lounge. My biggest disappointment from this high-end hotel was finding only plastic glasses in the room. I brought a great bottle of wine and I hate drink a great wine from a plastic cup. I am titanium with Marriott, but this will be my last stay with Westin. Very convenient SFO Shuttle every 15 minutes .

Very comfortable stay

The hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of the city, so if you are wanting a quiet stay this hotel is perfect. Rooms have good views, the staff is very friendly and food is nice. Lobby has a children corner and also a pet corner. Pool is cozy. Me and my family loved the stay here.

Room tip: Rooms facing the front of the hotel and also having a runway view

Stay somewhere else

Currently staying here. Our room smells like smoke, especially the bathroom and shower curtain. Black long hair in the tub. SO LOUD. The cleaning staff and employee work room, and ice machine are SO loud beginning at like 6 AM. Cleaning staff turn on the TVs, keep the room door open, while throwing stuff, slamming toilet seats. Don’t expect to relax here, bed is hard as a rock. So many other hotel options near by, try those!

Average accommodation but pleasant staff

The location of this hotel is excellent if you have an early morning flight out of SFO. The room was average size, but the bathroom was tiny. The valet easily handled our request to make keys available at the front desk for a predawn check out. We would stay there again if heading out on an early morning flight.
