I would not recommend this hotel. I stayed here because my red-eye flight was canceled. I wish I'd chosen a different place. It wasn't horrible, but wasn't great.
The lobby wasn't clean. There was dried food and grease all over the check-in desk; the employee had been talking to a friend at the front desk, so I'm guessing the drippings/grease were his. It was absolutely disgusting. The floors & carpets needed to be cleaned. There was a table of snacks near a window, but I didn't know who they were for or if you needed to pay for them or what. No breakfast offerings except a computer printout of a bunch of $9 bowls?
Luckily, my room was clean, which was better than I expected after seeing the rest of the hotel. I didn't like that the windows are blackout-only, with cheap vinyl shades & no sheers. If you want to let some light in without everyone seeing you (I was on the 1st floor), think again. The other reviews about the weird & dark design of the bathroom are accurate. My new flight was delayed twice so I ended up staying all the way through to checkout time.
The lobby seemed fine to hang out in, it was very stylish and people seemed to be enjoying it when I arrived late at night. There is a little decorated area designated for selfies. The employees seemed inexperienced and lackluster, I'm glad I didn't have any major problems; my confidence in them was not too high. But I wish they'd spent more $$ providing a nice place for travelers to rest instead of what is basically a hipster bar with mediocre service.
I am probably not this hotel's target customer. If you want a cool looking place to hang out & socialize and aren't worried about comfort or cleanliness, this place is perfect for you! I get it, it's really cool. I'm a millennial too! But I was also an exhausted traveler looking for a comfortable and CLEAN place to stay until my rescheduled flight. If that's you, keep scrolling. It's worth the extra time to find somewhere else.
