“Great Location, Great Property”
Reviewed April 3, 2014

We rented an RV site and a camping cabin. This property is conveniently located near Yosemite National Park. Check in was very smooth and the property is well laid out and very clean. It is nice to cook breakfast outside the motorhome with a flock of turkeys passing by.

The staff was cordial and accommodated our request for a change to a different site with electric in a more convenient place for our fifth wheel trailer. We had a back-in site, electric and water only. The site itself was good - well-graveled, almost level, and the wi-fi worked well.

However, the rest rooms need maintenance! The shower head in the stall I used in the men's restroom spat water in every direction - including onto the man in the stall next to mine. This is not only wasteful of hot water, but very annoying to users. Low-flow shower heads are cheap, and why this old worn-out shower head was still installed is a mystery to me.

The dump station needs renovation. When it came time to dump, I discovered that the dump station is located in an area of the driveway that slants downward, making it impossible to dump two of my three tanks. The campground was relatively empty (late March), and I suppose I could have pulled into one of the level pull-through sites with full hookups and dumped there, but this certainly wouldn't work in the busy season. Furthermore, we were warned in writing that if certain chemicals are used in holding tanks that ONLY the dump station can be used, and not the full-hookup sewer connections, which are on septic.

So although this is a beautiful spot, it is an hour away from Yosemite, the shower was annoying, I was unable to dump tanks, and for $50 per night I expected much better.

We stayed at this campground on a recent RV trip through California. It had just reopened for the season, and we were among the first to stay there.

Upon arrival, it was very easy to locate from the highway due to the great signage along the road. The campground had very nice paved roads throughout. We had plenty of room to pull into the office and check in. The office staff was very friendly and gave us everything we needed quickly.

Our camper was 35 feet long, and our space was adequate for the size. The space had full hook ups that were very easy to access. There was even enough room to park our car behind.

Some in our group stayed in the cabins on site. These cabins were small, but they were very clean and comfortable. The cabins sleep up to four adults, and have a ceiling fan and space heater inside. While the cabins do not have bathroom facilities, the bathroom and shower-house near the camp office was very clean and nice. Those facilities were located around 200 yards from our cabin.

The campground itself is a beautiful place, located in a wooded forest with plenty of wildlife roaming around the site. We saw a large flock of turkeys every morning next to our camper. I'm sure there were deer and other animals in the area as well.

The only negative about this campground is that it's about a one hour drive to Yosemite National Park. The drive is beautiful, but it is still one hour away. However, if you were looking for a clean and beautiful campground for your RV, this is the place to stay.

We were traveling with a baby a you know the rules. You play by their rules. We pulled over for the night as he needed to get down for his sleep. This place was quiet and awesome and what we were looking for. Wifi included at our tent site and it was middle of October and no one was here. Staff were polite and the deer walking through our site at 4am was awesome too. Thanks guy!

Stayed here for 2 nights to visit Yosemite. The pitch was roomy and shaded and the site quiet.
The bathrooms need some updating. Only one hairdryer was working whilst we were there and it was covered in liquid soap from a leaking dispenser. There were no plugs to enable me to use my own.
The staff here were not very friendly. One in particular never changed her expression and seemed completely unwilling to answer any questions.
Wouldn't recommend it.

Clean and calm rv park mostly for 1 night stay into yosemity. Good pool, clean amenities, nice shop. Bus stop outside park for tours to yosemity. Only negative was the lady at the reception, bridget. If you dont like your job please quit, otherwise put a smile on your face and be friendly to the guests who pay a considerable amount to stay at your park (usd 52 for hook-up site).

Family of 4 from Scotland on RV tour of California.
We liked it for its cosy size, closeness to Yosemite (so easy to use local YART buses from the site to get in and out then use Yosemite shuttles while there rather than toiling in a RV round the tight roads in Yosemite- note the shuttles do not go from the valley to Wawona/Mariposa grove) and pleasant setting. Limited facilities beyond pool, shop (recommend the ice cream and pizza) and surprising arcade in an old train engine but its big thing is Yosemite nearby. Would visit again.
