The staff are friendly and it is a fun little casino to play at. The only down side is that they have a lot of smokers and it can get pretty smokey at times. I really wish they had a smoke free area or their air system was more efficient. Their hotel is very nice, nothing fancy but very clean and safe.

I have played here for over a decade...not anymore. This used to be a fair place to gamble with a decent staff, but since they built the new casino, everyone gets ripped off here. I lost my keys here one night, and they would not even make an announcememnt to help me find them. The management are a holes and they don t do anything to make you feel welcome here. My $50 a week in free play is gone in minutes at this place along with any money I had in my pocket. Comps are crappy too. Save your money and gamble in Tahoe, Vegas or Reno. At least you will get a free room or better comps and you won t lose your $ so quickly

We are very sorry you had a disappointing experience at our casino recently. We have many regular players, like you, who visit often to enjoy our local hospitality, entertainment and restaurant options, and of course the table games and slots. We have had thousands of winners over the past few months, but of course cannot guarantee everyone will win! We wish you better luck in the future. Our new Casino & Hotel opened in 2009 and received the AAA Triple Diamond designation this year. We are proud of our local casino, hotel and restaurant staff and the first class property we built here in Lake County. We hope you give us another try.

We just returned from an overnight stay at Twin Pine Hotel and Casino. See my separate review of the hotel. We thought this casino was overall fine for a small local Indian casino. It is kept very clean, there were workers constantly picking up and cleaning. If you like slots, there are many. We prefer video poker and found enough to keep us busy although there could be more. Our game of choice is regular Bonus Poker (not Double Double Bonus or Deuces Wild) and we did not find it anywhere. However they do have Jacks or Better with denominations ranging from nickel on up so we were able to entertain ourselves.

The restaurant is quite good, we ate dinner and breakfast there and both meals were excellent and very reasonably priced. The service was also excellent. We definitely reccommend!

Others have spoken of the clientele but this is a casual casino, not Las Vegas and we had no problems with anyone around us. Everyone was very friendly including all the employees. Parking is easy and free. We would go again if we are ever up in Middletown. The only negative is the drive there! Going up Hwy. 29 from Calistoga is all hairpin turns with sections that really need a guard rail but don't have one. If you get carsick, don't go on this road! It is one of the worst roads (for lots of turns) that I have ever been on. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Was winning on Saturday night in the casino, and decided to eat in Manzanita Restaurant. Lucky ME! They had a wine-pairing dinner Friday and Saturday. 30 bucks. Chateau Montelena provided the wine, and the Sous Chef Ann Marie did the food. Very delicious. Green Papaya Salad with 3 big excellantly grilled shrimp. Went very well with the 2010 Reisling, which can apparently only be bought at the winery on Tubbs Lane in Calistoga.
Second course: Peach Gazpacho! With crab! And Chardonnay! Third course: Cocoa rubbed Pork Tenderloin! With cherry jam sauce, smooshed garnet yams, and chard, all fabulous. I'll be back next month for the August Wine Pairing Dinner. Very good value. I got to meet the Sous Chef Ann Marie, just to compliment her cooking. Also Richard is a delight.
