We topped here on the way home form a bike rice and were pretty happy with the experience. There was only on waiter holding down the fort on a busy afternoon, but he did his best to take care of us and was very nice.

Being extremely hungry after 60 mile of racing we opted for the buffet and were not disappointed. My only complaint is that the range of options was not very big, maybe 5 dishes (2 meat, 2 veg, and daal ) plus rice and Naan. Most Indian buffets have a little more variety.

The real star of the meal however were the frosty pint glasses of some of the best Mango lassi I've ever had. Talk about a perfect recovery drink!

Overall we were glad we stopped at Taste of Little India and would do it again when out that way.

I am so glad this restaurant is in Merced. It gives an excellent Indian option to the more prevalent Chinese, Thai, and Mexican restaurants that dominate Merced. Love the Tandoori, love the naan and kulcha (try the special naan and the onion kulcha, both excellent).

I was new to eating Indian food and needed a little advice on what to choose. The staff was very helpful and made some great recommendations. The dishes in the cream tomato sauce are especially good. They are a little pricey for this area considering the small portions and the atmosphere is just ok. However, there is a small buffet (4 entree choices, rice & naan bread) and it is priced around $8.

I suppose thousandth is an exaggeration but you get the idea. I had another great meal at Merced's only Indian restaurant. Friendly service and reliably delicious food. Just go.
