“Top Pick - Stanford Park Hotel”
Reviewed June 7, 2013

My top pick in the San Francisco Bay Area? Stanford Park Hotel. This is my third visit to this property on business travel and once again I was reminded of how hospitality should be when you are staying away from home. The reservations handled by Andrea, offered excellent service and positive friendly attitude. She also arranged and recommended a wonderful car service managed by Serge - who was on time for airport pick-up/return service and I will be using them once again - thank you Serge! Check-in a breeze with a clean tidy room, well appointed luxury touches with the plush robes, honor bar, bathroom amenities and room service menu. Had a great lunch in the restaurant and it was moderately priced and delicious. Bar service was prompt and attentive during the busy Friday evening for May and well staffed. The grounds nicely groomed and the pool area wonderful and comfy chairs/lounges to cool off in the warm sunny days. Very enjoyable - highly recommend!

Room Tip: Ask for a Courtyard or Pool View room - very nice!

Found this hotel on the SniqueAway sight and it gave me a great price..BUT...researched
it on Travelocity and got an extra 10% off.....fantastic.
The hotel is truly sweet, warm and friendly. The ambiance is so much more than staying
in one of the "namebrand" places. HUGE bathroom....clean, updated and very nice accoutrements.
We had reserved a regular room but had been upgraded to a jr.suite -no complaints from us!!!
We had breakfast in the room a few mornings and it arrived right on time..hot..best bacon ever!
Great coffee and sourdough toast...yum.
This was a 5-star experience.

Room Tip: This hotel is in a quiet, upscale residential area so I don't think noise from the neighborhood...

I have had the pleasure of staying in this hotel twice. The staff members are very friendly. Right from the welcome desk personnel to the young man who dropped off the news paper every morning. Yes, they deliver newspaper to you every morning. I certainly do not have anything negative at all to say about this place. The building looks very lovely (might I add that it does not even look like a hotel from the outside?). There are restaurants and other things not too far away from the hotel if you do not feel like eating at the grill for a day. The hotel is so quiet; the decorations are amazing; there is also a wonderful fitness center; and the hotel is very very very clean.

In short, this is an amazing place and I will recommend it to anyone :)

This was our second trip to this lovely hotel, and we loved it as much as the first time. Conveniently located, wonderfully comfortable rooms (we had a suite), very courteous and helpful staff, excellent restaurant. We don't bother even looking at other hotels in this area any more!

What a wonderful experience! This boutique hotel is one of the cleanest, most quiet hotels I've found in years of travel. My goal was to see the Stanford campus, yet travel over to Moon Bay and into the City for the day--this is a PERFECT location to get around the general Bay area. This is clearly a well-managed property. The service was outstanding, parking was easy (and complimentary), and all those sweet little extras rounded out my stay perfectly... wine tasting on weekday afternoons, incredible warm cookies with fresh coffee and tea at night, etc.. I was looking for a good value that would be competitive with Union Square prices but without all the "hub-bub," noise, tourists, and parking nightmares--this was it in spades! Very understated. I'm already marking some dates for a return in the Fall... can't wait!

Room Tip: First floor overlooking the patio and garden is very special (and no noise whatsoever).

Stayed from Thursday until Monday during Memorial Day Weekend for a horse show up at the Woodside Horse Park. This is our fourth time staying at this property and, once again, the courteous staff hit a home run. It was also my wife's birthday and we held a party for her in the Stanford room on Friday night. Service was a little shaky for the party, but we're going to write that off as our fault for not really giving the Menlo Grill enough warning. The party consisted of good friends so conversation and laughter made up for slow drink service and cold food. We'll be back as this visit was another overall success.

Room Tip: If you can swing it, the suites are really comfy!

Great hotel in the Palo Alto area. The high point of this hotel is the amazing service! The complimentary car service the hotel provides is vital if you don't have a rental car. From a personal viewpoint, I felt that my room( which I spent 400 $ per night on) was slightly rundown. In addition, the room's cleanliness was not up to my standards( hair found in the sink etc...). Overall, it probably one of the best hotels in the area.
