Ten years ago our friends in Palo Alto brought us to Carpaccio to show us how good life was hereabouts. Then we moved to Menlo Park three years later. There are at least a dozen restaurants within walking distance of our home. I rate Carpaccio at the top in a crowded field. We've been here a dozen times. We'd come more often if we weren't saving it for special occasions and visitors.
The fish is always stellar. The pasta VG. My favorite side here is the Bombetta di Parmigiano. Be sure to get it.
Carpaccio's is very popular with locals. The small bar is always full. One time we were seated near a group of 10 yr old girls celebrating a birthday. A Mom from Atherton introducing them to class.
The food is very good. The service by mature waiters is First Class, efficient w/o fuss. Great wines.
