Great cafe atmosphere. Fabulous food. Nice salads with varied selection, outstanding coffees and deserts. Baked goods are wonderful- English people says scones are some of the best in area. The chocolate chip cookies is outstanding, and not just a traditional one. People love Barrones, which means it is crowded. Good for breakfast-- wonderful egg options and yummy waffles; lunch- spinach salad or vegetable melt or chicken salad sandwich on raisin toast or cold meat platter or sausage on baguette with lovely tomato sauce, or dinner, which includes specials-- salmon, lasagna, squid, and the regular menu. It is pricey for an order at the counter sort of place (they deliver food to the table). Nonetheless, you see lots of students or engineers working away on laptops, business colleagues, friends meeting up, families, people with dogs large and small, and infants to elderly. Plenty of tables outside and inside, but at mealtimes, you need to look for a table.
