Made to order. Select how you want your burger cooked and pick your cheese. Hit the condiment bar and set yourself up for the perfect burger. Shakes are great, but the sweet potato fries are outstanding. Reasonably price and great for kids.

Finally! A place in the South Bay that has a really good veggie burger!

It's big, it's not mushy, it's delicious. You can get it on a delicious wheat bun, which adds even more flavor. You have your choice of several cheeses to put on it, and you customize it yourself with lettuce, tomato, red onions, pickles, sauerkraut, pico de gallo, and even jalapenos... Plus the usual ketchup, mustard, mayo, and also A1. The degree to which you can personalize your burger is astounding, and maybe the most unique aspect of Jeffrey's.

Their sweet potato fries are stellar, although the spicy sauce they come with is just so-so. And they have fresh lemons to put in your diet coke!

The prices do run somewhat high, (about $22 for two veggie burgers, a basket of sweet potato fries, and two fountain drinks-- and their shakes are about $4 or $5). It's the add-ons that really get you-- $1.60 extra for some avocado seems a bit excessive. But it's not so outrageous that you can't justify spending that amount on something so satisfying for your taste buds.

Other vegetarian options besides the garden burger include their salads (without meat added on) or grilled cheese. It would be nice if there were more (maybe a grilled portabello? Veggie dog? Egg salad sandwich? a BLT with fake'n?), but hey: it's a burger joint and their veggie burger leaves nothing to be desired in the deliciousness department. Can't cry too much about not being able to eat enough plants here.

1st time visit and loved it. Order your burger and attack the condiment bar to top off your burger. Great onion rings and tasty shakes.
