We lost $900 to John Dougherty house. We wanted something special for our 25th wedding anniversary. We relied on this Inn's claim to fame on the Mendocino website. Our room was supposed to have an unobstructed Ocean view and a jet tub. What we discovered was that our room overlooked the kitchen of a local restaurant with a glimpse of the ocean. The noise and smell, from the restaurant, lasted long into the night - forget about being able to hear the soothing sounds of the ocean! The jet tub in the bathroom had ants crawling all over it. Anyway, since this was a very special time for us, we stayed two nights and cancelled the rest of our stay. John Dougherty House would not refund our money.
