“easiest rowing with the "solar eco cruise"”
Reviewed July 11, 2014

"Just as advertised" the wind helps going on the big river and the electric small motor on the way back. You almost feel ashamed for not working enough... calm water, wonderful and quiet big river, helpful guidance.
Our only unlucky part was being with a guy that was talking all the time ...
Please be quiet and let nature and your guides do the talking....
One more- better restrooms are recommended.

“Stand-up outrigger fun and outstanding nature viewing”
Reviewed July 10, 2014

on a road trip done the north Californian coast we saw these guys advertised. a 3 hr trip up the big river exceeded expectations, the owner offering us a new outrigger to try which combined seats above a flat deck to sit and paddle traditional canoe style, or by extending the paddles and standing up braced against the seats, it turned into a double stand up outrigger. Very stable and huge fun, easy to sit down when the wind got up on the river bends, easy to turn round and sit chatting to my husband paddling at the back while I got lunch out of the dry bag supplied. Lots of water birds seen, and the highlight was gliding slowly past an otter family , 4 of them diving and crunching on their catch for several minutes feet away from us and very relaxed about us being there. owner and staff were helpful and enthusiastic, and we would thoroughly recommend this company.

“A great half day adventure”
Reviewed June 30, 2014 via mobile

CaC is a totally cool boat and bike shop. Full of good adventure advice. Helpful, friendly, fun employees. The tours are a blast if you don't want to work as hard. But a private canoe adventure and picnic with your special someone is a day u won't soon forget. Well worth checking out if you want to have fun in Mendocino

“A little exercise”
Reviewed June 16, 2014

On a recent trip to Mendocino, I wanted to get some activity in and got a recommendation to this place. Was set up with an excellent trail bike as well as trail directions. Everything was easy and the owner's advice proved insightful. Next time back I will try some canoeing.

“Great equipment and advice”
Reviewed May 29, 2014

Fun jaunt on a four-man canoe down the Big River. Saw baby seals. Go in morning to avoid fighting the wind and tide on the way back! Owner gave us objective advice about when to go and which vessel to use.
