Our stay was just an overnighter but it was perfect for the time allotted. We planned a duo massage in room and it was amazing and service was impeccable. Will definitely be staying here in the future! Thanks Brewery Gulch!

My husband and I have been staying at the Brewery Gulch Inn for the last three or four years. We enjoy our stay tremendously. The king loft rooms are very nice rooms. We have only stayed in the loft rooms so we'll have to try one of the other rooms the next stay. The food is fantastic at breakfast and during the evening hors d'oeuvres and wine tasting. The entire staff is very pleasant and polite.

Brewery Gulch Inn is a superb destination for any traveler looking for well-appointed rooms, welcoming common areas, stunning views, exquisite cuisine, and outstanding hospitality. Our three-night stay is one that we will long remember. I only wish our time at Brewery Gulch Inn had been longer.

We stayed in Raven, a large second floor room with a beautiful view of the rocky cove. Comfortable king sized bed, 32" flat screen tv with dvd, large two-person soaking tub, writing desk, robes, comfy leather chairs, fireplace, lovely toiletries, chenille throws on each chair for cozy reading, a balcony with chairs over looking the cove, two luggage racks, a live blossoming orchid plant, artwork, books of poems....every detail in the room has been thought through to give the guest a sense of welcome and well-being. I could have stayed in the room all day reading, were it not for all the other lovely areas in the Inn, and the outdoor activities nearby.

The Inn's great room features a very large wood burning fireplace, surrounded by comfortable arts-and-crafts style leather chairs and sofas. Also in this room are tables and chairs for game playing, writing, and dining. A sideboard holds a 24-hour a day coffee and tea service with a wide variety of teas, hot chocolate, and coffees. Also in the great room is the Inn's library of books, games, and over 300-dvds for guest use. Music from an excellent stereo system provides a lovely backdrop to meals and reading. There is also a computer and printer for guest use, and the Inn has wifi throughout.

Breakfast is cooked to order,, featuring dishes such as eggs benedict done on homemade English muffins, with steamed spinach, mushrooms, and bernaise sauce; a daily pancake or french toast special such as sourdough french toast with a pear compote; omlettes; granola, vanilla yogurt, and fresh fruit parfaits, among others. All juices are hand-squeezed, and a special treat is the mango lassi. In addition, each morning the chef prepares a luscious pastry that is available to guests all day, such as berry-cheese turnovers, pear-walnut crostada, or a pecan-studded berry-stuffed coffee cake.

From 5:30 to 6:30, the Inn offers a wine hour with a light buffet. Some may choose to think of this as hors d'oeuvres; from my perspective, however, the buffet was a perfect dinner each of the three nights we stayed. Some of the dishes included thinly sliced duck breast with hoisin sauce served on steamed kale; basmati and almond rice pilaf; green beans with garlic, olive oil, and slivered red peppers; seared skirt steak with a barbera reduction served on steamed spinach; orecchiette pasta with kalamata olives and pesto; chicken breasts served with a light cream sauce and chanterelle mushrooms. The chef also prepared a different dessert each night we were there, including a delicious, not-too-sweet creme brulee, a chocolate mousse, and a Callebaut chocolate torte. The desserts were left out through the evening for guests who enjoyed sitting around the fire after dinner.

In addition to the exquisite food, wonderful local wines and beers from the Anderson Valley were served, several varieties each night. Proprieter Guy Pacurar and his staff were very knowledgeable about the wines and provided a description of each, as well as information about the wineries. Guy is wonderful: welcoming, helpful, and generous.

Although it would be tempting to spend all one's time at the Inn, Mendocino offers a wide variety of activities to keep busy for a week. We are hikers, and found interesting, moderately-graded walks at Van Damme State Park, Jug Handle Preserve, and Russian Gulch State Park, all within a very few miles of the Inn. The Point Cabrillo lighthouse is also nearby and accessible. The village of Mendocino is charming, with small shops, an excellent bakery, and grocery store. The Mendocino Headlands State Park also provides stunning walks along the cliffs.

Probably my best memory of Brewery Gulch will be sitting with my husband on the redwood deck, sipping champagne, chatting with Guy, listening to the waves, watching woodpeckers, wrens, and nuthatches in the trees, and enjoying the warm sunshine...in February!

What a great place to stay...I hope we can come back.

I keep coming back to the Brewery Gulch Inn every time I have a chance. The happy hour food is incredible and can be an entire dinner. The staff is friendly, the rooms are perfect...and the view is out of this world. I have never had a bad experience there...and I have been quite a bit.

Casual, yet sophisticated. Gorgeous setting, luxurious rooms, organic cuisine. Owner, Guy Pacurar, made us feel welcome. I would love to stay here again.

This was our second visit to the Brewery Gulch Inn, and we have decided that whenever we travel to Mendocino and Ft. Bragg to visit our favorite part of California, we will stay here. It is comnfortably isolated among trees teeming with birds and other wild life and yet close enough to Highway 1 to be readily accessible to all of the wonders of Mendocino and Ft. Bragg. The hospitality. the comfortable accommodations, the view over the trees to the ocean, and above all the incredible food prepared by a first class chef set the Brewery Gulch Inn apart from any of the other B & B's we have visited in that area. Not only are the breakfasts incomparable, but the evening buffet will exceed anyone's expectations and make eating dinner elsewhere unnecessary. Brewery Gulch In is truly an outstanding value!

We got married at BGI and I don't have a single negative or even good thing to say about BGI as a wedding location, everything was AMAZING. My family are chef's/foodie's/pains in the arses of some renowned and I was concerned about the food for our wedding knowing that BGI doesn't specialize in cooking full dinners. This was the first wedding location that we checked into that the chef said, "what do you want?" rather than "these are the menu's to choose from". JoAnn and Guy seemed to work tirelessly to deliver things, and resolve issues before we realized that we even needed them delivered or resolved. Needless to say I could go on and on about every aspect of the wedding but if you want any more information you can find me through the Inn and I will be more than happy to share photo's and details with you. If you have any idea about getting married in a small intimate setting with great food in northern california, I would HIGHLY recommend BGI.
