“Wonderful stay, awesome food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 4, 2011

We loved our stay here. The great room is grand and inviting with games and large Dvd selection. Evening snacks, beer, and wine complimentary. Organic sodas, fancy grape juice, and hot cocoa for pregnant me.

The Raven room was large with a comfy king bed, small balcony with ocean view, and soaking tub that could fit six people! Opened the window over the tub and enjoyed the fresh, cool breeze. It was very private and quiet. I think it is above the kitchen but we had no issues with noise.

But the breakfast was the best highlight. My eggs Benedict were amazing, bacon on the side was succulent, everything wonderful and we were full through lunchtime. Had coffee on the deck and enjoyed the morning show at the birdfeeder. A quintessencial coastal getaway.

BTW staff are helpful and friendly yet unobtrusive. I like that breakfast is served at your own table in the great room or in your room if you prefer.

We brought our family here for my birthday celebration and had a fantastic time. Although the Inn is geared for couples, this was a perfect stay for our children. My 6 year old daughter thought it was the best and continues to talk about it. The owner is nice and accommodating. Both the breakfast and the evening meal were fabulous.

We booked this place based on the amazing reviews and they're all true. We couldn't' have been happier unless we'd gotten to stay a 3rd night! The food was fabulous. I couldn't ask for any more in a breakfast. It was cozy and quiet and the staff were all great. The towels and pillows they had in the room are now on our Christmas list because they were so incredibly wonderful! This place is exceptional. From the fruited water to the daily pastries to the local wine to the magazine shelf, they've thought of every detail!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Osprey Room

After a day of road tripping along Hwy. 1, we were pleasantly surprised by the comforts of the Inn. What a find!! We had searched many other hotels (websites and reviews) before making this reservation choice. SO glad we stayed here (mid-Oct)!! While it was a bit more than we typically spend for a room, the gourmet happy hour and breakfast saved us from dining out. Delicious meals!! We stayed in Smuggler's Cove, which offered amazing views of the cove and comfortable, quiet sleep. We never heard anyone else and the place was nearly fully booked. Almost felt like a treehouse. Included fireplace. The staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of movie, mag/book and game choices to make the stay relaxing. Only request is that the staff learns how to make roaring fires in the main room, instead it just seemed to smolder the whole time.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in October. We had sparkling wine in our room upon arrival. The views from our deck were beautiful. The breakfast meal was excellent. The light evening meal was excellent too (enough food that you didn't need to dine out). They really do a great job!

Brewery Gulch Inn is a perfect romantic getaway, with views of the Pacific from many rooms, private decks, fireplaces and lovely bathrooms. Our room, the Pelican, had a queen bed that was really comfortable, lots of pillows and throws, a comfortable two-chair seating area by the fireplace, French doors leading to the deck with a perfect sunset view and even a window in the bathroom, so I could look out at the waves breaking in a cove while I got ready in the morning. They also provide ample snacks and wine each evening and a made-to-order complete breakfast in the morning, all included in the price. I highly recommend this spot, whether you're traveling on business or pleasure.

My husband and I were "gifted" three nights stay at the Brewery Gulch Inn and what a gift this turned out to be. The Inn itself is absolutely beautiful with views of Smuggler's Cove. We cannot remember a time when we felt so relaxed and taken such good care of. The thoroughness of their attention to every detail would almost have me believing they arranged for the perfect weather. The staff, from the owner Guy to housekeeping staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. And the food...well, look out dining establishments in town. The divine breakfasts and what are very loosely referred to as the early evening "light buffet" are 5 star. Local wines are generously poured with the buffet. We enjoyed sitting in the great room and meeting people from all over and exchanging ideas on where to go and what to do. Games and books and DVDs are plentiful. GO!!!!!!

Room Tip: Stuck our heads into every room and they are all wonderful...some bigger...some without ocean views...
