About 12 years ago my wife and I stayed at the Blackberry Inn for two nights, and we liked it very much.
After driving up the long driveway from Rte. 1, you arrive at what looks like a small western village from the turn of the century. Each small cabin has a facade that simulates a store, post office, bank etc.
We went in early spring, and they were not busy, so we had our choice of cabins. All, that we saw, were decorated with knotty pine walls and pine furniture. Our cabin had a love seat facing the ocean and a fireplace next to the window stocked with logs ready to light. The Inn was only about 1/2 mile north of Mendocino. I don't recall what the rates were, but it seemed to be fairly priced at that time.
