This is the best small hotel for the Eureka, Arcata and McKinleyville area. It is next to the airport but the airport has only a few flights a day of prop planes so the hotel is more quiet than the hotels near 101 in Arcata and Eureka. The hotel is very clean, the staff friendly and the rooms are big and quiet. They have a great breakfast from 4:30am-9:30am to meet anyones schedule. Plus an indoor pool, spa and workout room. Free internet and free local calls. What else could you want from a small hotel for business or pleasure! I love the place in the heart of such a beautiful area.

This hotel provided a good experience. The rooms were nice and clean for a reasonable price. Good variety of bath products. Staff is very helpful in recommendations for dinner. If you are looking for local atmosphere - try the restaurant on the pier at Trinidad. Don't judge the place by it's looks, just taste the food. Stop and enjoy the overlook at the lighthouse and memorial. This is just a short drive north of the motel.

On hillside near airport, (no noise) this is a nearly new motel - attractive, quiet and convenient. Very nicely appointed rooms with large refrigerator (not bar) and microwave. Pick second floor room with balcony and away from parking lot if you can. Above average continental breakfast with warm cinammon buns. Friendly service. Motel is just north of Eureka/Arcata where the motel/hotel offerings are either right on the road or a bit long on "old charm". Nice strolls in both Eurke and Arcata (almost always foggy though) - DO try LARRUPIN CAFE in nearby Trinidad - top rated by Trip Adviser members and really lives up to the experience! We're fussy SF frequent travelers and were satisifed enough with Holiday Inn to stop there on our way back down the coast!

If you are visting or passing through Eureka, this is a great place to stay. We recently stayed here for a weekend while researching restaurants in Eureka for our son's wedding. After looking at other reviews we decided it was worth it to stay further north (about 15 minutes beyond Eureka) than take a chance on properties in Eureka. We were delighted. The hotel is sparkling clean, nicely decorated, and the staff was competent and friendly. It was extremely quiet and the room was comfortable. Since it was a rainy weekend, I appreciated being able to sit by the fire in the lobby. The internet rate was very good, $90, and when I called to extend our initial reservation, I was given an upgrade to a larger room because they didn't have a standard double available for both nights. We are enthusiastically recommending this hotel to our guests who are coming to the wedding.
