Stayed here for two nights over labor day weekend. The rooms are very spacious and clean (we were in the newer wing). Breakfast in the morning left a little to be desired but for free breakfast, it did the trick. Front desk staff was very good, high level of customer service. Great amenities in the room including a fridge and microwave. Only real negative was that our room didn't get cleaned after the first night (we were in the room with our baby napping in the afternoon and had the do not disturb on the door. When we went out for dinner we asked for the room to be cleaned and the front desk said okay but when we got back several hours later it still had not been done. We would definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

We stayed here while visiting the area and Redwoods NP. The hotel is slightly isolated and near the airport (we liked this). While the airport was close, we never felt disturbed by any aircraft. You can take a quick drive into town for restaurants and a grocery store. The hotel ended up being in a good location for us while we visited Redwoods NP.

Our room was big and seemed fairly new. The hotel, pool and room were well maintained and very clean. We had two queen beds, a fridge, table and chairs and still plenty of room to mull about. Two minor complaints however. First, the AC unit didn't work too well. We tried to follow the directions on the unit only to be told by the front desk that the directions were wrong. Even after the building engineer came up it still didn't cool the room enough so we ended up leaving the fan on all night for circulation. The second, was breakfast. Breakfast itself was adequate but it ends early (9:30) compared to other hotels we stayed at (10:00). We weren't the only ones who almost missed breakfast as a good number of other guests also came down after 9:30 expecting breakfast.

While planning our trip we considered hotels in Arcata and Eureka and after driving through both those towns we were even more happy with our decision to stay here. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Room Tip: Only one elevator serves the entire two story hotel and some of the rooms can be a far walk from it. Other than that, no rooms seem to be an advantage over others.

We were just here and it is a great place to stay. Right off 101 in front of the airport. Very quiet with a great staff, large clean rooms, and a very good breakfast in the morning. You will pay a little more to stay here but it is well worth the price for what you will get. Parking is also good and you won't have the local homeless types wondering around like in the other motel area. No dinner time food to walk to, but just a few miles in either direction.

Rooms are large, quiet, very comfortable beds. Breakfast is well stocked and continually restocked during the morning. Hotel is relatively new and is well maintained. Front desk staff was friendly and well trained. Great Place to stay for visiting Redwood National Park. While its close to the airport, its a very small airport and you really don't hear the planes landing or taking off.

Room Tip: While the room booklet only lists one Mexican restaurant in McKinleyville, there are other choices on Central (i.e. quite close), no need to drive a long distance for dinner.

This was a very pleasant find for a 3 day business stay. Overall, everything feels new, and meticulously cared for. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful.

The location is practically right next to the airport, but you'd never know it. Surrounding grounds are spacious, green and well-kept. Bikes are available for rent and a great path along the beach area is easily accessible nearby.

The room (a king suite upgraded without my asking) was spacious, clean and pleasant. Good workspace for business with a laptop. Decent business center for printing documents.

The only small negative is that the eggs one morning for breakfast had way too much salt in them. Otherwise, all was perfect!
