“Oysters with a view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2013

Thanks to this place, I now have a new food obsession - smoked oysters. They served them on crostini spread with cream cheese and drizzled with a tiny bit of remoulade. I've eaten oysters for decades, mostly raw, and I'm so greatful that I have stumbled upon this new method of preparing them. We also had some raw kumamotos and a farm grilled cheese sandwich - all very good. Sit outside at the communal table with some wine and marvel at the natural beauty of Tomales Bay.

“Oyster Heaven!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2013

Plain and Simple, I asked an SF local with all the great things to do within and 2 hours outside the city what was his? He said point blank.....The Marshall Store. Drove up scenic Highway 1. Took just at an hour. Rolled up to The Marshall Store, small, unique, just what you would want!

The Oysters! Pleasure Points and Kumamoto's!

They do them raw, grilled BBQ, Chorizo, Kilpatrick (Bacon and Worchestershire), Rockefeller (Spinach and Cheese) Smoked (Crostini)

Sit out overlooking The Tomales Bay sucking down great oysters, chowder (and all the other perfections of the sea) This place is simply not to be missed and completely worth taking the drive out of SF.

“The best Oysters all around!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2013 via mobile

We heard about this place while staying in San Fran for the night. We were told the drive would be worth it!
When we got to the location, we were found this to be a wonderful surprise. Enjoying oysters and beers with a great view. The entire staff also made this a great experience! Try several! We had the raw oysters, chorizo, BBQ, and the Kilpatrick. My husband also had the clam chowder which he loved.

“Off the Beaten Path”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 9, 2013 via mobile

On a Motorcycle trip, winding thru the Tomales Bay Area , just North of San Francisco, we stumbled across an area where there are Oyster Beds, just North of Bodega Bay,there are a couple of Eaterys, One of which is the Marshal Store.
Great Food, Great service, Great Location, Definitely worth a stop! Fresh Oysters on the Half Shell, but these are a bit different than others we have tried , they are slightly cooked on a B-B-Q with various toppings, Delish!!! a Glass or Wine or a Beer, A cup of Chowder and A Dozen Oysters!!! Heaven

“Great place for oysters”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 14, 2013

We tried many different places but always come back for Oysters to Marshall Store. Only about 1 hour drive from San Francisci, but oysters are very fresh and juicy. Place is generally not buzy so you do not need to wait long. Definately recommend to try all 3 types of oysters they have. It's not fancy, you end up sitting right by the road. Normally cold outside, so recommend to bring blankets and alcoholic beverages
