“Meal worth of San Francisco in a tiny mountain town!”

If you're an alfredo afficionado, you know that in restaurants it's more often "miss" than "hit" with alfredo dishes. This was definitely the best alfredo I've ever had. Homemade, buttery, and garlicky - not just a white sauce over pasta.

“Super dinner in a small tourist town”
Reviewed February 9, 2014

After driving out of Yosemite NP, we were delighted to find a pleasant town with lots of good choices for dining. We opted to visit TA's number 1 rated and we're not disappointed. I had the surf and turf boneless NY steak and 6 nicely grilled shrimp. At $25 it was worth it. The mashed potatoes were nicely spiced and the veggies tasty. My wife had a roasted vegetable pasta. Both meals came with salad and a small loaf of good bread with oil and balsamic. For dessert a panna cotta with strawberry sauce topped it off. On a Thursday night there was no wait and service was good. The owner clearly takes pride in her restaurant and quickly fixed a minor problem with the bill. Wished we lived closer. We would return.

“Great option for romantic dinner!”
Reviewed February 9, 2014

My boyfriend and I went to Savoury's for dinner and had a great time! The food was excellent and the wine was great! It's the most elegant restaurant in town, but it still feels cute and lovely. It's probably the best option for a romantic dinner in town!

“Coming from Yosemite”
Reviewed November 29, 2013

On our way home from Yosemite,we called in to Savoury's, for dinner. The restaurant was quite busy, so we looked forward to a pleasant meal.
While waiting, the interior felt like a hanger, or shed.Devoid of any character. This may have soured our judgement on the food.
For all their attempts at appearing chic, this place, nor its staff manage to carry it off.
Mariposa is well served with a choice of restaurants. This in many respects ,is not the best.

“Fine Dining with a Casual Comfort”
Reviewed November 24, 2013

The food was exquisite. Our hostess, who was actually the owner, was very accomodating. It was my birthday and she was very pleased to make our experience pleasant. The only reason they don't have a 5 is because our waitress seemed lost or wanting to avoid us except to bring us our food and take our orders. The busser we had was wonderful and as stated before, our hostess did a wonderful job.
