Great diversified menu. A real local place. Having grown up in Tucson, AZ, I have eaten a lot of Mexican food. This is probably the best I have ever had. The Chile Rellanos were excellente!! We were with two New Yorkers who had not experienced much authentic Mexican food, so waitress was very patient while we explained the different menu items to them. Each of us ordered a different dinner and all were extraordinary. Even had the fried ice cream for dessert! Can't wait to go back to Mariposa!!!

This is my favorite place to eat Mexican food. If we don't stop in to sit down to eat, we order to take home. Yummy and delicious food.

I've had Mexican all over the US and in Mexico, but this tiny little place in Mariposa, CA has to be the best authentic Mexican food I've ever had. tortillas are freshly made on premiss--daily. the sals has some real kick to it, but not in an "inferno in your mouth" kind way. Portions are generous. Everything is homemade/home-cooked. No pre-processed canned, bagged, frozen or bottled here.

As I said, the place is VERY small. If it is a busy night/weekend (lots of tourists) you might have to wait, but the wait will be worth it!

Pricing is moderate. Nothing on the menu is overpriced or overly expensive, especially considering the quality and taste!

It's 100 degrees & we chose to sit outside. Food was good, but since we were the only idiots out there in the heat, they sort of forgot about us so we had to wait to be served. Loved the decor!
