We visited this place after whole-day exhausting trip from South Lake Tahoe, it was quite late in the night and most of the restaurants in Mariposa were already closed. So we choose to drive a few miles further and go here for a dinner - and it was great dicision! The lady who served us was super nice and the food was excelent! We ordered burger and pastrami sandwich and both were delicious (and for reasonable price). And the atmosphere of this place is also unique! Don't miss this gem!

The spouse constantly wants to eat in less-than-upscale looking places and there are more than a few of those in Mariposa. I resisted the Airport Inn for years until recently, and I was very pleasantly surprised by the food and the staff. The "atmosphere" was what I expected - kind of old-fashioned and cluttered with local photos, pool table and skee ball table; but the food was surprisingly good and very generous. We ordered a hamburger and a hot dog and expected something on a saucer. Instead got a large plate filled with the main dish, lots and lots of fries, and the fixings (lettuce, tomato, onion, pepperoncini) and a piece of cake with fresh fruit. Each meal was less than $10, and bottled drinks were $2, soda $1, beer $3. Amazing. It's a small place and the other patrons were friendly, knowledgeable about the local area, and willing to talk. And, the menu has daily specials from Thursday to Sunday. Pretty sure we will go there again for lunch, and maybe even some evening just to hang around and drink beer and soak up local color.

Ate there this weekend on a whim. Wow, was I impressed. Atmosphere is a very cool, old time bar. Completely authentic. And the burger platter we ordered was insane. We chose tater tots instead of fries, and I have never seen so many tots on a plate before! The burger was great with generous amounts of bacon. And there was even fresh fruit and a slice of CAKE on the platter too! So impressed!

The employees make this a very warm place to spend some time.
Never had a hot dog / or a hamburger so wonderfully presented with the extras.
