“Work function - they killed it (in a good way)”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

We had a work function here, and this lovely little place did an amazing job with heavy appetizers. Lamb sliders, terrific cheese and fruit plate, very good wine and a nice beer selection. It has a great feel to it, and the service was extraordinary.

“Excellent dining in the Marina”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

We went here for dinner on a Saturday night, and had a great experience. The service was attentive, the music enjoyable, and the food excellent. A very interesting menu and wine list, and a good selection of microbrews as well.

“Boutique restaurant with superb food and wine”
Reviewed November 30, 2012

We were staying at the Marriott of Marina del Rey and took a short walk down Washington Blvd towards downtown Venice. Le Cellier looked so inviting we stopped in. They were offering a prix fixe pre-Thanksgiving special menu that evening and the chef tailored it to our gluten-free, dairy-free needs. Great pate and fish, excellent wine. We liked it so much we went back a few days later, had the medley of sauteed mushrooms for 5 of us to share to start, and then enjoyed the mekong delta fish, beef tenderloin and pork loin. All five of us were really pleased with our choices. The wine steward/waiter was knowledgeable and delightful. The chef attended to our dietary needs again with a personable touch. We highly recommend Le Cellier!

“Almost Good Enough”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

This is a Vietnamese/French Restaurant. The Ambient noise was too loud and we had a hard time hearing each other. I ordered the Filet Mignon with fries. So the two nuggets were very tender and tasty. The french fries were dry and cold. My friend ordered their big steak which was touch, like shoe sole and full of grizzles. I noticed that he spate out every mouth full into his napkin. The seaweed salad which accompanied the two meals were delicious.
We did have an appetizer which was not exceptional but was o.k. - it was ground lamb rolled in some kind of leaves - my friend ate most of them.
We did not have any desert.
