“Delicious!”
Reviewed September 13, 2011

We loved this Manteca Restaurant! The BBQ is delicious. Our family had the pork ribs, and tri-tip which were tender, lean, moist and flavorful. The sandwiches and burgers were wonderful. We ordered the Reuben and Patty Melt and they were especially great. All the entrees looked wonderful, from the seafood selections to the comfort foods like salisbury steak and chicken pot pie. The rustic, laid back ambience in the old historic section of Manteca was charming and the wait staff were polite, prompt and courteous. The prices cannot be beat and were very reasonable for the quality of the food. Can recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly for a great meal and enjoyable experience.

“Awesome! Great atmosphere and great food.”
Reviewed August 7, 2011

We were traveling through Manteca. This place is awesome. The decor is nice and cozy. Beautiful dark wood bar. We had nachos and they were the best chicken nachos we have ever had. The drinks were very good also. And the prices were excellent. We were there for Happy Hour 4 to 6 and the appetizers are half price. We will definitely make a point to go back there next time we travel through that area, usually 3 to 4 times a year.

“Maybe we hit it on a bad night, but...”
Reviewed July 23, 2009

My wife and I are “foodies”, meaning that we love great food, but don’t necessarily need all the “pomp and circumstance” of a fancy atmosphere. We don’t really like chain restaurants and look for the best local places we can find. Generally the TripAdvisor recommendations have been spot-on, but this was the worst meal of our trip. Absolute worst fish and chips ever, could have gotten a better burger at fast food chain, lousy margarita, and even the local brew was underwhelming. The place was pretty empty, but the service was still slow and unresponsive (e.g. we shouldn’t have to repeatedly flag down a waitress whose only serving three tables to refill our drinks…that’s a fundamental of being a waitress, right?). On the upside, it really is a pretty cool place. Too bad the most important elements – food and service – were subpar. The place got good ratings from others, so maybe we just hit it on a bad night. But either way we’d never go back again.

“Great Place for casual dining”

We own our own business and rarely have time to cook at home. The Brickyard is one of our favorite local restaurants.
Good menu and service!

“Live here and LOVE this place!”
Reviewed June 8, 2008

We are lucky enough to have the Brickyard Oven (called Kelley Brothers to the locals) just down the street from us. They have excellent beer that is brewed on-site. The calamari and fish & chips are the best we've had on the west coast. Very reasonable pricing and good size portions. Fun atmosphere with live music on Friday and Saturday nights.
