I had the dinner special sirloin which was a 10 ounce sirloin with peppercorn wine sauce, sauteed green beans and mashed potatoes for $25.95. I ordered the sirloin medium and it was medium to medium/well depending on which part of the steak I ate. Although it was SLIGHTLY overcooked it was still an excellent steak. The waiter said that they only serve USDA Prime meat and I would believe it. The steak was flavorful and tender. There was no fat and it was very easy to cut and while it did not melt in mouth it was very easy to eat.
The atmosphere is simply great and it is steps to the beach and Manhattan Pier.
I ordered a 23-ounce Firestone Double Barrel Ale for $9.50. I should have had a red wine with my steak and shame on my waiter for not suggesting it.
The meal was not cheap but considering this is Manhattan Beach and they had a huge sum of money invested in the leasehold improvements it was certainly fair for what I got. It was a business dinner so price didn't really matter but I would certainly buy dinner here a couple times a month and it compared favorably to Salt Creek Grille which is another local eatery I patronage.
The other five people were all satisfied with their meals as well and we all agreed that it was a great choice.
