“Healthy Salad Bar --- cooked on a big wok”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

The Big Wok is Mongolian Barbeque. The restaurant has been around over twenty years (they moved to this larger location a number of years ago) and I've been eating here that long.

You start out with various meats --- beef, lamb, chicken. You move on to cabbage, noodles, tofu, pineapple, mushrooms, carrots, tiny corn, and other vegetables. Finally, you make up your own sauce out of barbeque sauce, lemon or ginger water, oil, curry sauce, and spicy. You take this up to the big wok and the cooks push it around the grill and hand you the steaming plate.

The all-you-can eat dinner comes with rice and delicious sesame rolls. It's a great value, particularly if you are starving! I can't finish the food when I go through one time, let alone going through multiple times!

In twenty years Mongolian Barbeque has gone from being unknown to being found in every mall. This predates the newcomers, and is so much better!. Everything here is very fresh and the atmosphere is fun.

“Maximum fresh food, small price”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

Choose from beef, chicken, pork thin sliced and a bevy of fresh vegies, choose your own seasonings and eat to your fill. NICE!

“Healthy, entertaining, and good value”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

Mongolian bbq used to be so popular and everywhere, but they are not easy to find nowadays. This restaurant has been around for quite awhile and with how busy it is it won't be going away any time soon. This is good, because it is a wonderful place to eat. The vegetables and meat on the buffet are fresh and constantly being refilled. The chefs are so nice and entertaining to watch as they stir fry your food. The bread (Shai bing) is delicious, make sure to ask for seconds. I only wish they offered the option of brown rice, then my healthy meal would be complete.

“Is can you not love it”

Great food where you design your own. Kind of like subway only Asian food. It is very tasty and pretty quick. Try it.

“Best Mongolian BBQ in the LA!”
Reviewed May 30, 2012

This is the very first restaurant I ever went to in Los Angeles, and I've been trying to top it ever since! It is THE BEST place for Mongolian BBQ. The fact that they serve lamb as one of the meats just makes me happy! It's quick, efficient and a great spot for large group parties or quick lunches.
