Great place for breakfast on the weekend. I am sure it's great any other time too. Basic food done pretty well. Most portions are so huge you can share. Outside patio is best - quieter, less crowded.

This little drive-up food stand is great. I haven't had their lunch foods but their breakfast burritos and breakfast sandwiches are awesome. Coming from the East Coast I'd never had a breakfast sandwich like this: eggs, bacon or sausage, lettuce, tomato, mayo on sourdough, white or rye. Terrific, any time of day. They have about 5 little tables with umbrellas. The staff is friendly, it's very inexpensive and the coffee is always fresh and hot. In a plaza right off the PCH in East Malibu diagonally from Duke's. Check it out! When we're in town, we hit it every morning.

This is not a place to take a big party to and expect a sit down meal. You order at the window, Maurie has been there for over 40 years and he continues to serve one of the best burgers around. The P.C.H Burger is my favorite with bacon and avocado. I don't eat fries anymore but his were the best! Only three tables in front of the place, so sitting can be a problem, but it is what it is! This place gets confused with another place in mid-Malibu, so make sure you google the Country Kitchen for directions. It is caddy-corner, across the highway from Duke's Restaurant which is on the ocean. Another local's favorite.

Country Kitchen is rare find! The owner, Morrie has been serving up us locals for decades. Everything is great - breakfast burritos, burgers, onion rings, chili fries, and my personal favorite, grilled cheese.

The reviews from busurfer4 and williamb8 are trying to review Malibu Kitchen, not Country Kitchen. They’re often mistaken. Country Kitchen has no “bakery counter,” and no girls working there, no Givanni making deli subs, but Malibu Kitchen does. At Country Kitchen, you get the owner and he's awesome!

Country Kitchen is a hard to find (thank god) hole-in-the-wall on PCH and Los Flores Cyn. Malibu Kitchen is in the Cross Creek shopping center.

While I like Malibu Kitchen (great gourmet variety), I prefer the less trendy spot with great grub at Country Kitchen.

Thank you Morrie for feeding us every weekend!

Maurie is a sweet old man and the people who are complaining about their service are probably the idiots who come to Malibu and expect everyone to wait on them hand and foot. Born and raised in Malibu, 3rd generation resident, I say the food is great and Maurie is a sweet heart, he is older so yes it takes a little longer than some places but he is always sweet and never rude. He runs the place since his partner passed away, he was a bit pricklier but not rude, just not interested in kissing some pseudo surfers butt. Enjoy...
