“Amazing views of surfers in the ocean while eating fried seafood”
Reviewed February 1, 2011

If you want a beautiful drive up the Pacific Coast Highway head to Neptune's Net for a bite to eat and enjoy the ocean view. The fried seafood is delicious and you can get giant bottled beers or wine to complement your food. Sit outside at the picnic tables and enjoy the view of the surfers. We arrived in time to watch the sunset. I have also visited in the summer time and the beach was covered with seals. My brother visited a couple years ago and was behind Arnold Schwarzenegger in line to order!

“Great Views”
Reviewed April 20, 2010

Strange little biker joint but descent food. Lines were long and had a hard time deciding what to order but ended up liking what I got...maybe I'll try something different next time. Like that you can just grab any drink you want...that's unique. Dining area was packed and not clean but if you can over look it and just focus on the food and the great views, you'll enjoy this place.

“Most horrible service ever!”
Reviewed September 21, 2009

Well, I speak to the quality of the food, or lack thereof, as we never got past the horrible service.
We came in on a Saturday evening when the crowd was pretty light. We saw a sign right by the door that said “Order here” and another across the room reading “Pick up here”, so we stood in the order here line for about 10 minutes. Upon reaching the counter, we were told that this line was only for fresh or steamed seafood and we would have to order our fish and chips from the other side of the restaurant. Fine. So we went through the entire restaurant, dodging a bunch of drunks, and got behind the same people as before (they wanted some steamed shrimp as well as fish and chips). In the mean time, others started milling around on the other side of the cashier. When the person in front of us was finished ordering, we were curtly told that, since we were standing on the wrong side of the register, we would have to wait until they served the line of people who had come up after us. This was the last straw, we’d been there almost 30 minutes and still hadn’t even ordered, despite being second in line both times. We will never be back to this dingy, dirty, smelly crap hole again!

“This place is good times in a bottle.”
Reviewed April 15, 2009

If you are looking for tablecloths and fine china, don't bother. If you don't mind enjoying your seafood on a paper plate, getting your drinks from a cooler, sitting at a picnic table and hearing the waves crashing on the beach below, then by all means, get to Neptune's Net. This place is all about being laid back and enjoying California. It is counter service with helpful cashiers who are more than willing to help. The food is good and the drinks are cold.
