“Great for outdoor experience, average food”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

Paradise cove is great for those who would like to experience a meal eaten outdoors. That appears to be the main attraction, to be able to eat a meal with your shoes off while your toes are stuck in the sand and while you view the ocean. Have to admit, that's different for a restaurant to offer. Wait times can be long, especially on a weekend, and the parking lot can fill up which means you will have to park on the street and walk back. That walk back can be a half mile to a mile walking in single file with steady traffic. Oh, and the temperature may be 80 degrees or more. So, dress comfortable and wear comfortable walking shoes. Your waiting time will be less if you eat inside instead of outside. Waiters are friendly and knowledgeable of the dishes. Somewhat pricey, but you're paying for the ambience. We ordered the beef ribs and fish ( I think halibut) and the servings are generous and the wait time between order and serving was not long. Food was good but I would not rate the food as worth bragging about. All in all however, Paradise Cove is worth the visit because you have to go and see it at least once. I would go back again but to me you should take your own cooler, food, beach stuff, beach clothing, and rent space to hang out and enjoy the beautiful weather and the beach.

“Fresh Seafood on the Beach”
Reviewed May 4, 2013

On my daughter's first trip to the Malibu, CA area, I knew I had to take her to Paradise Cove Beach Cafe. Nestled in a peaceful beach area just north of Pepperdine University, the cafe is the ultimate beach scene. You can eat indoors, but you'll most likely want a table outside in the sand. You're steps away from the waves. The service is friendly and quick. The food is good. We had the shrimp scampi, crab cakes, parmesan shrimp and fish and chips. It was all fresh tasting. Be sure to have your parking ticket validated in the restaurant-otherwise it's a $30 parking charge. And, come prepared for a hefty bill. It's expensive, but it's worth the experience.

“Good food but go for the view!”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

Enjoyed the tacos - fish and beef were great. The shrimp taco was ok. The dish came with fresh salsa and yummy guacamole. But who really cares about the good when you can sit and dine right on the beach. This is a great stop along the Pacific Coast Highway that shouldn't be missed.

“Good food, GREAT location”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

If you go to Paradise Cove on the weekend, be prepared for a long wait -- this can easily be two hours. The restaurant is located right on the sand, and the view cannot be beat. I ordered the clam chowder and the sampler tacos, both of which were quite good. The restaurant will validate parking for up to three hours if you spend $25 or more -- you will still pay $3, but that's a lot better than the $30 charge for the general public.

“Come for the ambiance and atmosphere.”
Reviewed April 27, 2013 via mobile

This is a great location and clearly a popular spot. The outdoor beach chairs and bar are a great place to hang and watch the sunset over the Pacific Ocean. Food was average for a medium priced big scale beach side restaurant. Desserts are huge, save room.
