This is a very attractive Mexican restaurant located quietly on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. We ate in front of the fireplace with a comforting fire going. We ordered drinks and they came quickly. Nice margarita or martini choices. The wine list was not long, however, had some very nice choices. The appetizers were quite good and the entree list was creative and interesting. We were six people and everyone seemed more than satisfied with their choice. They had an interesting dessert menu but we were all full by that time so I can't vouch for any of their creations. This is not a typical Mexican restaurant. A little more pricey than some and in my opinion well worth it.

This place is great! The food is great. Definitely different than most Mexican restaurants. The tamale appetizer is so yummy! I had the Camarones for dinner. They were cooked to perfection! My husbands halibut was terrific as well. It is beautiful there at night. We sat by the fireplace which was lovely. The service was excellent both times we visited!

A wonderful find in the vacuum of restaurants in Malibu. Worth going out for this meal. The atmosphere is a bit loud but on a busy night, acceptable. Food and favors very original while still representing the mexican food culture. Lunch is quiet and food and service fabulous! GREAT food and fun bar scene. I give this place a 10!

Pretty restaurant on the inside. We placed our drink order and that came right out. We then waited a very long time for our waiter to come back. He was talking to another table for about 20 minutes. Finally, another waiter came over and asked for our order. We asked him if he was our waiter and he said no. We asked who it was, he pointed to our waiter at the table. We never saw him again and were served by a different person each time.
Started with the ceviche which was 'overcooked' in the acid and had broken down to much. Tasted like it was made the day before. We placed our drink order and that came right out. Food was okay, almost below average. I ordered my steak medium rare it came out well done. I didn't send it back because nobody never asked and we really had nobody helping us. Beans were lukewarm and the texture was thick. Rice was good and the side of hot salsa had a nice flavor. It is very expensive and we had to pay extra for beans and rice.

We left 15% and will not return.
