We had a lovely New Year's eve at the Malibu Country Inn. Big, comfortable room (with a swell gas fireplace) and an easy walk to Zuma Beach. A wonderful Inn in a spectacular spot! I can't recommend the place highly enough. Great supermarket just up the hill and no end of fine restaurants within 10 miles of the hotel.

Room Tip: Try one of the mountain-view rooms. Great vista.

Made last minute plans to stay at this beautiful quaint property. The service was impeccable. Both Sean and Iny went way above the call of duty to accomodate a few of our requests. I highly suggested visiting this hotel....

Room Tip: Ask for a renovated room.... Beautifully done.

What a treasure!!
Malibu Country Inn is a one of a kind, unique hotel in a prime location in Malibu. The staff was OUTSTANDING!! Accommodating and friendly from our first phone call. The rooms are affordable, clean, welcoming, comfortable.

A little about my experience:
We were planning a dawn wedding ceremony at Nicholas Canyon Beach, and since we live about 35-40 min from this location, we thought it would be a good idea to put up our friends and family at a hotel closer to the location to make the morning drive less daunting. We were also on a budget, and wasn't sure what we would find in Malibu that would accommodate our needs.

Ivy was the first person I spoke with on the phone. Immediately, she was friendly and clear about what types of rooms they offered. I really appreciated that she invited us to come check out the rooms if we wanted to. So we did!

We decided to get five rooms total.
Two suites: One OCEAN VIEW suite and one MOUNTAIN VIEW SUITE. Both suites were outstanding, king bed (very comfortable) with duvet covers and great pillows, living area with fire place (one had a L shaped couch, the other two comfy chairs), mini fridge, deep tub with jets, hair dryer, ironing board/iron, coffee maker.
Two renovated rooms: queen bed, duvet covers, wood laminate floors, flat screen tv, private patio.
One un-renovated room: queen bed, carpet floors, private patio with jacuzzi!

Ivy was so immensely helpful!
She and her staff emailed me a clear outline of the rooms and their rates.
We were able to email information to secure the reservation.

I would recommend this place to someone looking for a wonderful get away to Malibut on a budget. This place felt like a family run place, and I love supporting independent institutions.

They also have a heated pool with a rose garden, but I didn't get a chance to use it.

Room Tip: The suites are best value, I think!

This was a very quaint little "secret garden" motel hidden in the mountains. The room we stayed in had been renovated & was very cute. Had a little electric fireplace for ambience & a deck that overlooked the mountains with a view of the ocean. The restaurant next door "Kristie's was a great place for afternoon drinks & watching the sunset over the ocean. They had a cute pool & fire pit area too.

Room Tip: get the renovated room

Hotel muito bom. Aconchegante, ótima localização (ao lado da praia) e com um bom preço.
Pretty good Inn. Comfortable and with excellent location (close to the beach), and a fair price.
Ivy, thank you for your attention. You are too kindly.

Room Tip: Vale a pena ficar no quarto com jacuzzi! Try a room with jacuzzi, it worth!

we checked in the 1st week of oct 2012 the room was assured to us it was the best. the room smelled the bathroom was filthy. Dont waist your money. It was disgusting. When its your first trip to Malibu with your wife you would expect a room for 300.00 a night to at least be aof average quality this room gets a 0 on a scale of 1 to 10.

We really enjoyed our Malibu staycation. Living in LA, we're used to overpriced hotels so never wanted to spend a bunch of money to stay only 20 minutes from where we live. After discovering The Malibu Inn, we were pleasantly surprised at how terrific this little Inn was for the price. We had a renovated room...very clean and simple...had everything we needed and had enough space for my husband and me and our 3 year old daughter. She slept on a roller bed right beside us. Loved the large deck and million dollar view. We were visiting on a very hot weekend and were very comfortable sleeping with the porch door open. Traffic from the PCH was loud with windows open but didn't bother us. We'll definitely be staying here again.
