“Customer service lacking”
Reviewed July 20, 2011

Our group of 9 took a trail ride at Boundary Ranch today and were treated poorly by reception. The receptionist Tom was contrary and not very accommodating. Organization was lacking. We waited half an hour past our booked ride time. My daughter (5 yrs old) wanted a pony ride and was taken for 5 min for $10 after much fuss that they couldn't because staff was lacking. I think that with a group this size spending a fair amount of money, they could accommodate a request for a pony ride given they were asked 2 months ahead of time.
Once out on the trail things improved greatly. The guide was good. We also had the BBQ lunch and the food was good.
Because of my experience with the front end, I would not recommend this ranch. Even when phoning the ranch, Tom was also not helpful or friendly. Emails were not returned.

- I stopped yesterday to check Boundary Ranch out yesterday in advance of our annual company picnic of over 100 employees. We were interested in the mountains this year; I was dispatched to scout the location.
We sat at an outdoor table and were promptly ignored by everyone for over half an hour. After 10 minutes we asked the gentleman manning the grill if the numerable waitresses milling about were going to acknowledge us and he said he would tell them.
The place didn't appear to be busy at 1 pm. Of the 10 or so outdoor tables, only a couple of them were occupied, and the two waitresses I saw tending to the tables ignored us completely for a full half hour. We subsequently left and had a nice lunch up the road at kananaskis village.
Good job Boundary Ranch, you blew it big time.
Last year we spent thousands of dollars for our picnic for the whole crew.
We won't be returning. Ever.
Avoid this place like the plague. They honestly don't care about service. Even the raggy looking dog milling around the table looking for scraps (health code violation?) was snotty...he ignored us completely too!
