Long stretches of bluffs and beaches, often all to yourself… tide pools, even a blow hole if you know where to look. Mountains to hike and creek canyons to stroll. Montana De Oro is truly a jewel on the Central Coast. Don't miss the Pt. Buchon Trail at the end of the State Park road. It has a beautiful sea cave at the far end of Coon Creek beach that you can walk into at low tide; a large sink hole left by a collapsed sea cave; sea stacks that remind you of Stone Henge; and a spectacular view from Windy Point. Just be sure to take your own food and water. Off the beaten path, Montana De Oro lets me enjoy nature at its best!
