The Panino Picnic lunch was part of our Fess Parker Wine tasting package. Since we had left overs from dinner for our wine touring day, we decided to take the picnic lunch for our drive home. This worked great, as we had a stop in Palm Springs and enjoyed picnicking in our hotel room.

The sandwiches were delicious, substantial and tasty. We had sandwiches from Panino the last time we did a wine tour and they really are worth the trip to Los Olivos to pick them up if you are staying in Santa Barbara. Lucky for us the lunch was part of our package with the Fess Parker.

Panino's would be worth going to for lunch or a light dinner even if not part of a wine tour package.

I would giove this place 5 stars, but have difficulty paying $10.00 for a sandwich - however, they're the best in Central California, the breads are tasty, chicken curry is my favorite, outdoor seating, nothing fancy, but very enjoyable food, conversations,
and people watching

We were rolling out of town after a couple days of fairly serious wine tasting. As we were leaving Kaena winery across the street, we asked the staff where we could find the best sandwiches in town. The two ladies replied in stereo: Panino, as they pointed across the street. I had the prosciutto with peppers and mozzarella and my wife had turkey on sourdough with a yummy sundried tomato spread. But, what I really liked about the place is the great attitude of the staff. I like suggestions about how to best enjoy their food. I like being greeted by employees with a smile and people who know the menu at a restaurant and who take pride in what they are doing. And yes, as we drove south on the 101 freeway, we had two really good sandwiches to eat.

Do yourself a favor a pick up a yummy sandwich from this place to take to one of the wineries in the area. The menu board is full of great choices and it will be hard to pick one, as they are all
good here! The gals work hard and make the to go orders quickly. We came back a second day to try another lunch since the first one was so good. Choose the focaccia bread, as it is the best
choice for your sandwich and depending on your appetite, most can be split in half to
share. They have soup, salad and even yummy cookies for dessert.

This is my idea of fast food. They have about 30 items on the menu Curry Chicken Salads, Greek, Harvest Salads, Unique Sandwiches served on 4 types of break including whole wheat sourdough. They have 3 soups. You can order 1/2 sandwich with soup or salad or order a full order they have large cookies and chips also. These are not a subway special they are unique and a place to stop when your are in town just look for the flag pole in the middle of town and see the yellow building on the corner. Sandwiches and salads are about 8 dollars each We ate outside and just enjoyed the view . They also now have locations in a few other areas Santa Barbara, Santa Ynez so enjoy.
