“CLASSY CALIFORNIA WINE COUNTRY CUISINE”
Reviewed December 1, 2013

This is by far the most authentic Californiaesque cuisine in the Los Olivos wine region that we have found. It was featured in the likewise California culture statement film "Sideways." It is a great way to end your day after the Foxen Canyon self-hosted wine tour. The restaurant offers its own selection of wine tasting flights that are a great accompaniment to California-Tuscany style foods such as butternut squash ans spinach gnoci, nine types of marinated olives, Orecchiette chicken sausage, Pappardelle Bolognese San Luis natural beef, and Morro Bay black cod. The staff are happy, helpful and non-overbearing. There is a full bar in case you forgot to make reservations which is highly advised.

“REALLY GOOD FOOD REALLY GOOD SERVICE”
Reviewed November 28, 2013

We enjoyed our experience at Los Olivos Wine Merchant. The atmosphere is nice but a little noisy due to its layout. The menu was great as wine the food quality and service. The wine list is also fantastic. We will return for sure.

this place is great. the location is perfect. the little square is quaint. it has a wonderful menu and it is within walking distance of several tasting rooms of the premiere wineries in the area.just get there around 11:30---have a great lunch with a nice local wine....then walk around for the next couple of hours trying great wines. ok? designate a driver, if you know what i mean.

“Worth the trip to Los Olivos”
Reviewed November 10, 2013

Raspberry Salad made a wonderful starter! One of us had the braised lamb shank and the other the gnocchi. Both dishes were superb. Service was excellent as was the setting. One felt the staff was very interested in providing the best dining experience. Naturally they were also helpful with the wine selections.
