“On a downward trend”
Reviewed April 23, 2013

I've been to Palacio many times over the last year or two and generally think it is quite fun with an interesting twist. However, the last couple of times have been very disappointing with the food being decidedly average and in some cases having to be sent back to the kitchen because elements of the dish were simply missing. The drinks are good and the seating outside is lovely but it is already starting to feel very tired and needs a wake up call around the menu and service if it going to keep my family's business.

“Food is good, interesting upscale Mex”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

Though I find the bar scene a little sleezy at times, bartenders included. Wines by the glass are good but overpriced. The duck mole enchiladas are delicious. The salsas are good but ask for the hot one. Incredible building but bar scene kind of stinks up the inside. Dining al fresco though is a delight.

“Nice ambience; impressive service”
Reviewed March 1, 2013 via mobile

Recently enjoyed a business meal at Palacio. The service was remarkably good (Garrett, I believe, plus lots of great help), and the food was impressive. I had pumpkin seed encrusted sea bass which had great flavor. The bar area was nice, too, for a predinner cocktail. Very nice atmosphere. I'd go again!

“Wonderful gathering place for Happy Hour”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

Last night we had 14 of us gather at Palacio's in Los Gatos for Happy Hour/Birthday party. What fun we had, with a mix of us standing and sitting. The service was good and fast and the food unusual and delicious. The setting is stellar. We ended up ordering repeats of many of the menu items. At the end, everyone complimented the selection of the place to celebrate a birthday.

“Great bar, interesting foods and attentive service”
Reviewed January 19, 2013 via mobile

Went to Palacio for the 2nd time with my wife - they had a table for us upstairs (which is much quieter), but we wanted to sit downstairs. They were quickly able to change things around to accommodate us. They have fantastic margaritas - the Casarita Caliente (spicy jalapeño and cucumber) margarita is my favorite. Tried the mussels and the ceviche for appetizers - both we're outstanding...Dean, the General Manager, came by to say hello. He and his staff have a great job and are very attentive. We had the Yucatan Pork and the Seabass as our entrees....again very good. The churros with chocolate was REALLY REALLY good.

Palacio is filling a void in high end Latin foods in the Bay Area - keep innovating and serving up some interesting foods.

Thank Arnab S
