WE actually had a function at the hotel and the food was supplied by the three degrees kitchen.
THe restaurant itself was 2 ballrooms away from us and we had to go to it for drinks. The place is cozy and the bar area is decent.
The drinks however are pricey running about $ dollars each unless you hit happy hour. However the bartenders are knowledgeable and mix well!.
The food is quite good, our fucntion had appetizers, and a main course - buffet style. Typically on a buffet you get dried out meats covered in some kind of gravy to make them palatable. etc. Not so here. The turkey was moist, the pork chops- sliced thin and still juicy. All the vegetables were "full flavored" but not enhanced. By that I mean it seems like the chef actually brought out the flavors of the foods without covering them up with chemicals like msg for example. The only way to do this is proper preparation, including proper use of spices at the right time of cooking.
So this place passes muster but has its job cut out for it slugging it out in food central Los Gatos. I think it will probably thrive if people remember that it is a good restaurant in the middle of a hotel! One real plus is that the hotel is just a block or so outside the main thoroughfare which means that parking is a snap!
I p[plan on going back to just for the restaurant based on the food they prepared for the event we held there.
