“Nice place to stay for a night”
Reviewed May 2, 2013

We wanted to spend as much time as possible in Yosemite before our trek to Monterey, so we didn't think we could make it all the way by dark. Los Banos was right on the route, and we chose this hotel based on the reviews. We were not disappointed! It was clean, quiet and comfortable. Anything you would need is a short drive away, with a Baskin Robbins practically sharing the parking lot! Breakfast was limited but fine, and the desk clerk kept it stocked. Would definitely recommend as a good stop on en route across the state. Good value, less than $100, which was a welcome change from some of the other hotels on our trip that weren't as nice.

We recently stayed in the Best Western Executive Inn and booked ourselves into one the Suites. It was a very nice big space, almost like having a small apartment. There was nothing wrong with our room. We enjoyed the room so much we regretted that we could only stay one night. It was well worth the little extra money spent to have such a nice big room.

Breakfast was nice and there was plenty to pick from. The coffee is just so-so.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front side of the hotel get morning sun. If you like to sleep in you might ask for a ro...

First, if you're towning with a full size rig, get there early as parking is limited and tight, and you really need to watch for the driveway as they share the lot with other businesses in the area and the BW sign seems to be a little obscure. Other than that, the staff greeted me kindly and was very helpful with concerns of the local area. The room was adequate and clean with a descent size fridge to store a couple days of food, microwave, sink/water outside of the bathroom w/a coffee make there. Bed was comfortable the and heater/ac worked nicely. TV is the modern. Internet connection for the most part was great, but had problems on one night where (not at the fault of the motel), where getting on the web was almost non-existant (provider problem). Breakfast was okay, but only hot food is the waffles. Exit door on the pool side didn't let anyone in with their key card. This place is kind of in the middle of town, so if shopping, plan on driving a mile or so either way to get what you need. But as stated, I was comfortable there, and with 2 more jobs in the area coming up, have made plans to stay at this establishment.

We stayed here on our way to Anaheim thinking it would be a clean, decent place to stay, in light of the reviews I read. It looked nice from the outside....but, that was just the facade. From the moment I checked us in, until we left the next morning, it was absolutely terrible. At check-in the front end woman accused my 15 yr old son of being much older ( wanting to charge me more! ) just because he's tall & stocky....then we go up to our room, & it's dirty. Cherrios etc. on the floor, under the beds & night table, thread bare sheets, & towels ( & not enough in the room for the number of guests booked ), dirty glasses, not sealed, gross bathroom & no tp!. I did call the F.D. after we had discovered how bad our room was, but she wanted to move us after the fact, & we needed to eat & sleep. The room was so shabby I regreted staying...
The safety issues in our opinion were that the side & back door ( at night ) was unsecure, with no exterior lights, as well as no lights on at night in the spa/pool area. This we believe is a safety code violation is it not?
Also, if you advertise having a pool & spa, don't you think it should be maintained & open, & if not, state that they are closed. This is helpful when you have children who are looking forward to a swim after a long days drive...us adults too.
The breakfast the next morning was ridiculous. The F.D. clerk was responsible for restocking, which was the basics ( & stale ), but, couldn't even manage making coffee etc. I ended up helping....
Learned our lesson...will never stay here again!

Road Warrior Story.
First time passing ever to Los Banos. I actually didnt plan on ending up here, but my work took me here at the end of the day. Time to find a room for the night.

In driving down the main thoroughfare, looking at motels, I was looking at a different one, when I spotted this Best Western next door. It looked clean and inviting. I am not usually a Best Western person, but this looked safe and clean.

Good outside lighting. I feel good about my vehicle parked outside.
Lobby was clean, modern and inviting
Breakfast nook in the lobby offering continental breakfast including waffles and cereals.
Good Wi-Fi in the rooms
The room was a bit old school, but it was clean, bright and comfortable.
It has the typical wall heater/AC unit uinder the window that can be a bit loud, but i am used to it.
No road noise from the highway. It is nice and quiet.
Nice Flat Panel tv's
Microwave and refridgerator in the room.
Nice, polite front desk staff.

Room Tip: Choose the second floor. The first floor has an extensive tile floor that extends to the hallways...

We have stayed at the hotel many times and always find it to be well maintained, clean and safe. The people who work there are professional and helpful. The breakfast area is well kept and the food is fresh. We will likely stay there again.
