Arrived first for dinner and dined alone. The crowd was entertaining but the food was even more so. Excellent staff with seamless service.

Tom Colicchio's modernist dining outpost oddly ensconced amidst a tower clutch in Century Century.

Staff is unevenly attentive, but you get the feeling of being rushed, which is off-putting for the prices you're putting up with.

The food is very good, but somehow you feel it doesn't live up to Colicchio's reputation as a food craftsman par excellence. The bites are not up to the bark.

He seems to have fallen into the "LA Stumble", which is a fate that much-touted out-of-town chefs seem to almost universally bumble into in foodie-haven LA.

Craft is a genuinely great restaurant: nice decor, terrific service, and excellent food. While all of the food was great, I especially recommend the John Dory for those seeking fish, and the chocolate soufflé for those with a sweet tooth.

The service is outstanding, but the food (while decent) was underwhelming. There wasn't anything that delighted me or caused "Oooooos" from anyone at our table.

By now everyone's heard about how great the food is at Craft. It is. Top notch, not a bad thing to say about it. I could even rave about the bread basket! But the best thing about Craft is that it's a whole package... EVERYTHING is good... the service is so professional, so friendly without being over the top, so detail-oriented. The decor is great, the ambience is beautiful. The music goes with the food and the feel of the restaurant. I can't wait to go back. I can't believe I waited so long to go in the first place! Highly recommended. Good job, Craft!
