“The service is outstanding”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2011

Like the first time i was here the service is outstanding. Location 1 block from walk of fame is perfect. The hotel has a paid parking and washing machines. I think that its time for a renovation of the hotel, because it is a little bit outdated. But they were changing a lot of the furniture when we were there in november. The rooms in the backside of the hotel is much quieter (Franklin ave is a busy street). I hope this not was the last time i will go to the wanderful Magic Castle Hotel.

The hotel was located closed to the Chinese Theatre with shops, subway and bus line all close. We found the hotel staff went out of their way to welcome us. The breakfast was great and the help yourself snacks at the front desk were greatly appreciated. Our family stayed in the apartments which were well appointed and spacious.

Me and my husband stayed here for 2 nights on the 16th and 17th of November 2011 as part of our 2 week trip of the USA for our honeymoon and we couldn't have been happy with the overall experience we had at The Magic Castle. The location is amazing. One road back from Hollywood Boulevard and if you have car very easy to access all of LA. Also FREE PARKING. The complimentary breakfast is awesome and the free snacks and DVDs are just great, something we have never experienced anyway in the world. The room we had was massive and for how old the hotel is it was absolutely fabulous!! Now most importantly the staff are ABSOLUTELY fantastic! I had a few issues with a my Visa and with the help of Zeeshan & the staff on that morning it was easily organised and able to be sorted all there and we were able to enjoy the rest of our trip. Of all the places we have stayed the service here is above anything we have experienced! Thanks to all the staff at the Magic Castle. I can not recommend this hotel enough!! :) :) :) :)

Wow...thank you so much for taking the time to write such an amazing review!! We all appreciate it very much.

I just wanted to correct one small item; our parking is not free....it's $11 plus tax per night. Perhaps we somehow didn't charge you for it......lucky for you:) I just don't want TripAdvisor readers to be surprised when they get here. We do feel that our parking charge is still a good value for the area.

Please come back and see us again very soon!!

Sincerely
Darren Ross

As many have mentioned, the location of this hotel is very convenient for walking down to Hollywood Blvd by just walking down Orange Ave. The hotel is quiet and quaint. Yes, it is old and a little worn but clean. The staff is very helpful, cordial, professional, and will do anything they can to help ensure your stay is enjoyable. Also, great about this place is it has underground parking.. Parking is a premium in LA / Hollywood so don't discount this hotel feature. The only downside was the bed which was hard but i would not let it stop you from staying here.

Awesome little hotel tucked away behind the bustle of Hollywood Blvd. The rooms are comfy, a little run down, but service makes up for anything you can find wrong with the rooms. Great breakfast in the mornings (highly recommend the chocolate chip scones). Fantastic saltwater? pool, free snack bar at the front desk, which I fully enjoyed. Highly recommend this gem to anyone wanting to stay in the LA area!

If you go to Hollywood, you have to stay here! We were travelling with our 2 kids 5 and 8. The rooms are huge, though not brand new or anything flash, this place was our kids and our favourite place to stay during our entire 6 week trip to the states!

We were all made to feel so special by the staff! The kids loved them and my daughter ever drew a picture to give to the lovely lady on reception when we left. They loved the free drinks and snacks at reception and we loved the 'local' knowledge from the staff on everything from transport to family friendly restaurants etc. Amazing, amazing, this is what I call customer service....you love the vibe so much, the breakfast, that you overlook the flaws in the accommodation rooms (not that we could pick anything!)

They have an onsite laundry which is handy and walk over to Hollywood Boulevard. We would definately come back and stay here again. Thank you everyone there it was the perfect end to the time in your country!

We really enjoyed staying here and were so happy with the wonderful service. The free mini bar snacks are great for when you need a little bite to eat. The continental breakfast is convenient, not the most amazing food, it's all pretty sugary stuff besides the fruit, but good to get you started for the day. The location is great, about 2 min walk from Hollywood highlands (the major tourist spots in Hollywood). The staff are always ready and more than happy to assist on any way. The bed was sooooo comfortable, we slept so well! The rooms are a little dated and sort of smell like an old apartment, but they are spacious and clean and that's what counts! there is also a kitchenette, although we didn't use that.
So summarize, this is a great place to stay if you want to feel welcome and taken care of!!
