Stayed here on business and loved it. Great location, hip lobby and bar/restaurant choices. Rooms are very big with comfortable beds and modern, cool furnishings. Bathrooms are huge as well. Particularly love the TV wall -- it appears as a glass/dark mirror wall when TV is off but when turned on it shines through. Room service has decent options for those too tired to venture out.

Girls trip to LA - very young, hip crowd at this hotel. The SLS service was excellent - from bell boys to front desk staff - we always felt welcomed. inside the hotel is gorgeous - the rooms large, beds very comfortable, modern furnishings ... only complaint is how dark the rooms are. we requested an extra lamp be brought to our room as we could not even see when applying makeup. the pool was a ton of fun - the service a little slow but was a very busy weekend. i find that no matter where you stay in LA you have to cab everywhere so location was not an issue (check out UBER car service! wow!) would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Excellent hotel but even better customer service. In particular, Stacy P at reception was not only efficient but supremely welcoming. She made the experience for us. Hope to come back in the near future.

I hate this hotel. This is the Kardashian of the hotel world, it's trashy and it thinks its a night club. Staff are friendly but they haven't been trained at all, the service is pretty poor and the prices are pretty up there for the quality. The bedroom mirrors are so darkly tinted I couldn't do my make up and there's a stale smell everywhere.
The pool area is horrid, the decor is dated and they blast tinny bad electronic music. The loungers are old and the staff are badly turned out.
I never write reviews but feel so strongly about this tacky nightmare that's felt people should know.
Even getting my clothes laundered was an ordeal.

Stay at FourSeasons or anywhere!

Everyone from the valet parking person to the bell boy to the receptionist are all quite fashionable, they all make you feel you are in hollywood :). The rooms are extremely grand. The mirrors on the walls and in the bath make everything look beautiful. The lamps in the room are quite interesting too. All in all a very unique hotel.

Decent room. Well kept property. But something of the nighclub feeling seems quite passé this days. Friendly staff. Was expecting some help from the concierge and the response was nonexistent. I was expecting better value for the price. Phillip Stark has not evolved much, his design is completely dated; a very dark hotel throughout even in beautiful sunshine days of LA. Maybe this hotel is just a nighlife party scene!

Housekeeping should pay more attention to detail. My bathroom sink was filled with about 15 pins from a previous guest… Needless to say the room was not properly cleaned and checked.

I cannot understand why or how the whole room, including the bathroom, does not have a regular mirror. All mirrors are smoked…

Not sure I would stay here again.

We stayed for 2 nights in the SLS Beverly Hills, as soon as I walked in I fell in love with everything pure luxury. The rooftop pool is perfect for relaxation and parties. Our room was a good size, a little dark, but I didn't need to apply makeup so I was fine. The concierge recommended a fantastic restaurant called Picca, all staff were friendly and helpful. The attached restaurant, The Bazar, continues the theme of the hotel, great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
