stayed here for 2 nights, room was clean, got complimentary toiletry,1 small bottled water/each night.. be careful not to open the bigger bottle cause its $6! starbucks coffee, and some no brand coffee.

but for the price of the room? it isnt worth it. $300/night no breakfast. i understand that the location cost more. but to compare this to other hotels weve been.. this isnt the best.

pool is under renovation. walls are thin, the room close to ours, (probably 2 rooms after ours) is having a party, we could hear every laugh! and all their talks! even their tv is blasting! another guest close to our room as well went out, very angry and screamed on top of his lungs for these people to be QUIET! that dont stop them from making too much noise! till 12mn! i suppose the angry guest went down and made a complain. which should have been his first move, and not yell.. but to think for the price of this hotel guest would be decent enough to act educated isnt always to be expected..

oh and the pool is under renovation. they pointed us to use the Hyatt pool. meeh! we didnt! burden to do that.

We checked in quite late and found the service attendants quite cordial. Unfortunately, the rooms we were assigned were occupied. We found out by knocking on the doors and arousing the sleeping occupants. After an hour of this and two more similar experiences, we arrived in unoccupied rooms and went directly to sleep. (We were told there waqs a computer problem.) The hotel provides shuttle service to Universal Studios which is only a five minute walk up a steep incline. (The shuttle stops around PM.) We had breakfast in the hotel. (The hotel provided us with vouchers after the problems securing a vacant room.) The first day we tried the buffet and while there were ample options, buffet food is not my favorite. The second day, we ordered from the menu and the food was freshly prepared and 100% better. The pool at the hotel is closed for renovations so we went to the neighboring Hilton. A short walk and a pleasant experience. Parking is handy albeit an expensive option. The hotel is directly off the highway and convenient to Universal. While the Hilton is in much better repair and seems to offer more, check and compare the prices of both before booking. The Sheraton is a very good option and the price when we booked was lower.

Room Tip: The hotel has a concierge floor and may be worth the additional fee. If you book on line, the confirmation came with a lower price option than was advertised.

Sheraton at Universal might be the worst hotel I have ever stayed!!!
It is an old, dirty (VERY DIRTY) hotel! The room was dusty and you could write with your finger on the glass surface they have on top of the tables, desk... GUUUUAH!
The worst thing you can find out, is a hotel to be dirty, and this is the case! The pillow had a mosquito squashed, the carpet was stained, the wall paper was coming out, the furniture was old and ugly!!! TERRIBLE!
It is trapped on the 60's and it needs an urgent renovation.
There was NOT a security box in my room! It was only the hole but it was missing, so I had to place my documents and money in a lobby's safe deposit box... So inconvenient!!!!
The walls are like paper and we could hear the person next to us snoaring all night long!!! No kidding!!! It was like having him inside our room!
When we arrived the gave us an upergrade with wifi and continental breakfast included, which I appreciate, but I will never ever go back.
The only good thing is that it is located next to Universal Studios park, but then try the Hyatt which is next to it.
I spoke to the manager about the cleanless, the missing deposit box, and generally the bad hotel it was and we changed room the second night just to find another room as dirty as the first one, but with a box.
This hotel is terrible and eventhough the manager was nice and didn't charged me one night because of all the inconvinience, the only thing I can say is STAY AWAY!!!!

Room Tip: There are not good rooms! Don't stay there!

Went there twice, both times a charm. Both were business trips, went to Universal Studios within walking distance, also close to walk of fame. Love the room, slept well and got the white glove treatment.

Room Tip: Suggest a ground floor pool room, loved just walking out to get into the pool.

The service was poor from the start. We got here in the rain and the two bell men watched me struggle as I got the luggage out of the car in the rain, they never even offered to help.
We stayed on the club level, the rooms are old, carpet stained and in great need of stretching, even the hall way has big puckers in the carpet which is a tripping hazard. The bathroom is small and the bathtub has the enamel worn off and rust stains on the tile from the hand rail screws rusting . The white wood work was poorly painted brown and now is chipping
The headboard is made of vinyl and is cracked and flaking off. Our view is terrible of the pool which looks like it's from a scary movie, half filled with dirty water (pictures to come). This property is not well maintained at all, who lets the carpet in the halls get this stretched out? I see this comment by others as well. I got locked out after the first night and had to have security let me in and get new keys made, he explained this happens quite a bit.
I have stayed next door at the Hilton which is far superior to this.

We tried the bar one night and our server had to make several trips to the bartender to see which alcohol they had in stock. No knowledge of the alcohol stocked.
This is my first stay at a Sheraton and probably the last. I have to spend two more nights here, but will look for another hotel.
The only reason to stay here is the proximity to universal studios, not the service or quality of the rooms.
