We had a wonderful stay at La Quinta Inns & Suites LAX Airport, Los Angeles. This was our first visit to the USA and we booked this hotel after an Internet search. We are extremely happy with the stay, service and the wonderful hospitality that we received here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to accommodate our requests. We have become a member of their value-added services and we will continue to use this hotel on our future visits also. I will recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to have a great stay for business as well as pleasure.

We had a one night stay prior to flying back to New Zealand. We stayed on the 9th floor, room 911.

I can't fault the place.

Check in was prompt & polite and all questions awswered (we had many!)
Internet access was super easy, fast and reliable

Our room was smaller than where we'd previous stayed (especially the bathroom area) but we and all of our luggage (7 suitcases in total) managed to squeeze in.
The room was quiet, immaculately clean and although the beds are smaller than used to, we all found them & the pillows fresh & comfortable.

There weren't enough towels in our room to accommodate of family, a phone call had someone with extra towels at our door within 5 minutes. Love it.

The breakfast area was clean & spacious and well designed. The food itself was more than adequate.

The shuttle was very reliable both in and out of LAX, and the driver friendly and helpful.

Maybe we timed in right, but we had no hassle with the lift, despite one being out-of-action.

Perhaps, the best thing about this hotel was the SECURE and well-managed luggage storage so we could go and explore LA prior to our night time departure. In addition, prior to flight - there was sufficient semi-private space to reorganise our luggage (shopping) in the lobby. Also the restrooms in the lobby were ideal for getting changed/freshened up ready for our flight - they were spacious and clean.

A big thumbs up from us. My husband is planning on changing his usual LAX hotel to this one in future.

This hotel was very dirty, dingy, aged, and had a lot of not so desirable characters lounging around the lobby area. The area itself is in a pretty rough neighborhood, so it just depends on your comfort level with areas closer to an airport. We checked in later in the evening and the lady who helped us at the front desk was very scattered and more interested in chatting with the men standing around her than actually assisting us and answering questions. The rooms were very substandard and untidy. The shower did not drain properly, the carpet was extremely dirty, and the furniture was stained...you just didn't feel like you were in a clean space. My husband and dog were also trapped in the elevator for a while at one point, to which no one at the front desk seemed to show the least bit of concern for. All the elevators had maintenance issues during our visit, which isn't a good feeling, pet or no pet. The main reason we chose this hotel was because it's pet friendly and we were traveling with our dog. Well...we ended up walking the back alley way (where are fabulous front desk attendant directed us) to find there is ZERO grass for your pet...definitely no small courtyard as we were advised. We walked blocks and couldn't find anything. This place is a concrete jungle. The Holiday Inn directly across the alley had a HUGE grass yard but they will not allow any pets on the property, so good luck to you if you bring a pet. You'll be hard pressed to find even the smallest patch of grass. It's not the worst hotel I've ever stayed at but it's definitely in the running.

Convenient Shuttle to and from LAX is the best thing, just like others said. Staff was helpful. Drop off and pick up area is NOT good so if you have a big old SUV to deal with, this might not be the place for you.

The good -- staff, location by airport, shuttle, free breakfast that was pretty good. (Worth about $10 all in.) Price is OK. The rooms are pretty new with decent TV, small bathroom, OK beds

The not so good -- slow elevators, funky parking, sketchy neighborhood at night, HARD pillows, run down hallways and carpet. The tub and shower worked poorly (plumbing loose).

Because this place is a decent value for the area, it is probably going to be full a lot like it was for my stay. This means lots of tourists, football fans, odd-ball conventions, etc.

If you want something more upscale in the area, there is a Holiday Inn very close and a Marriott just a block away on the other side of the blvd.

Room Tip: I was on top floor but on Century, which was loud. Perhaps ask for other side of hotel.

My wife and I have stayed at the La Quinta LAX several times on our way home from visiting California. Service is excellent, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, the complimentary breakfast is nice (kind of standard, but nice), and the complimentary shuttle to the airport runs fairly frequently (takes about 10 minutes to get to LAX if traffic is minimal). Overall a good place to stay if you want to overnight it close to the airport.

I think the location is good. You got McDonald next to the hotel, subway across the street, and the gas station or store nearby. Free shuttle bus from LAX, free breakfast and wifi. However, the room next to the street is drawback, you can hear the car or moto passing by very clearly at the midnight. Remerber to ask for the room at he backside IOC the hotel.
